We are very pleased with Britt's work. The work happened in increments from November through June, due to the necessity for other work to be completed by the other contractors. Britt was accommodating to the schedule. He recognized that some of the early work might need follow-up adjustments after the other work was done. He not only was right but also was prompt in his follow-up.
Britt was punctual and professional. Our house is almost 60 years old and, where issues were presented, Britt proposed practical, cost-effective solutions. The resulting work looks professionally-done and has been favorably commented upon by guests. His workers did an excellent job but Britt either did the work himself or carefully supervised the work done by his employee. When a trim paint looked different in the dining room than anticipated and a different paint was discussed with Britt, he did not hesitate to be positive and get it done..
I had engaged Britt a couple years ago to do painting work on our tennis club and everyone was impressed by his work. It was easy to again engage Britt for our house and we were pleased once again. We would highly recommend Britt's work to anyone.
.JMJ did a wonderful job for us. Britt walked us through everything he and his crew could be doing, and he was on site often to make sure everything was to his standards. His guys were polite and professional, and we had no issues with having them around the house while the work was being performed. There were even some areas where I thought it looked great, but Britt was not pleased with the results. He quickly fixed what he felt was not right.
We have referred JMJ to our friends, and others have now used him as well. They have all reported being as happy as we are with the results. Britt is professional, he promptly addressed any issues (there were very few) and we are so happy with how our house looks, both inside and out. We will be using JMJ again in the future, there is no doubt.
"These were the most difficult clients I have worked with in over 5 years and over 450 jobs. We agreed to a very specific scope of work and price, including Items that were to be done and what the expected outcome would be. The clients expectations were for a "restoration" level job on an old home with windows that were in poor condition, but I priced the work (and discussed with the clients) that my bid was for an industry standard level of prep. This was accepted by the clients in signing the contract. Many windows were not in working order and one was in a dangerous condition. I did my best to get them working without additional charges. The ceiling drywall patching that was discussed with the client was to patch and blend in with the remaining ceiling, as the client did not want the entire ceiling painted. The client held money from me and I had to threaten to file a lien to get paid. The client was simply trying to get much more work than what they were willing to pay for. I would NOT recommend this client."

"My response to the above review of JMJ Painting is that I was hired by the owner's General Contractor to perform specific painting services. I performed those services in a very professional way and did many additional things that the owner asked for on the job site even though I was not certain that I would be compensated for them. The drywall job should have never been approved by the GC and owner. I tried to fix these areas, but they really needed to be torn out and replaced by the drywaller. It was a very frustrating job for everyone."
