Everything was really good, the blood cancer center there is really good, they are specialists in what they do. And also they get alot of the new research trials so am actually on a pretty big clinical trial. The OHC is really good and the doctors there are really good. The oncology nurses that take care of me are nice. They are very friendly. The doctors are all very understanding and really good with communication.
Description of Work: I go to the Jewish Hospital about once a month for treatment. It's a good hospital and it's one of the best. I had a Stem cell transplant there.

It is with great regret that I must write this review..On the evening of June 5, 2014 I rushed my daughter to the Jewish ER with symptoms of confusion , dizziness nervousness. We traveled over 30 minutes to get there because I had been a patient there before and received excellent care. Once upon arrival we were met in the lobby by a very nice lady, regretfully I didn t get her name. A nurse came out to triage my daughter and was then taken back to her room . We were asked to stay outside for a and quot;little bit so they could speak to herand quot; fine. Now for all you concerned parents out there my daught er is 20 years old and regretfully we did not have a signed power of attorney.and quot; Please get oneand quot;. After I think 45 minutes, we were taken back to a room and asked to wait for the DR. because they had an emergency . Ok I understood. the Dr. Finally came in and advised us he believed that my daughterand quot;s issues were psychiatric and not medical we advised that couldn't be possible , but the Dr. said he was waiting the test to come back. A few minutes went by and we were then allowed to go to our daughter's room. Where we basically found our daughter unconcious. No IV had been hung and then were advised that our daughter had to be catherized to get a urine specimen and that they had done a and quot;sternal Ruband quot; to try and awaken her. We saw no nurse with the exception of maybe once then the Dr. returned later advising that in his opinion this was a psychiatic matter not a medical matter and she would not be admitted to their hospital due to his diagnosis. We were then advised that a 72 hour hold was being placed on our daughter and we were given choices were to send our daughter for evaluation. We pleaded for our daughter to be evaluated medically and to please give the IV a chance to work. But no. I talked to my unconcious daughter for an hour begging her to wake up so she could tell these people what is wrong but she didn t. The dr. came back in and did another and quot;sternal Ruband quot; no response. We were told our daughter was leaving by ambulance . The final straw was as I left in my distraught state as I was walking towards the door he yelled and quot;He hoped we got our daughter back the way she was and quot;. Now please understand that I am just a dad and some of the timeframes are off somewhat because I was a little busy but the facts are accurate. You should seriously consider never going to this emergency department or hosptial for that matter. If this is how their ER is just stay away. If I were you Jewish Hosptal I would be ashamed and embarrassed. Compassion ,Advocate, Respect, Excellence.not in my opinion.

Dr. Goldenberg is very thorough and an excellent doctor. Her staff at the office is very helpful. Her call center, though, has problems. There is an Angie that is extremely rude. She kept insisting that I give my SS number. When I would not, she said she could not find me in their 'system'. After her third request asking for my social, I raised my voice and said "I do NOT go by my social over the phone", she threatened to hang up on me! When I gave my date of service, she was able to find me in the system and said 'your social is right here on my computer'. Dr. Goldenberg and her office staff is very helpful. She explains everything in detail and is happy to answer all my questions. I would highly recommend her.

Description of Work: Emergency admitting slow, disorganized and uncaring. Staff confusion over identity of patient. Staff also failed to determine other medical issues with patient (cancer) before treating emergency condition (heart) with the result that they inserted a new IV instead of using the chemo port! Poor communication between doctors and staff.

Overall, I would rate The Jewish Hospital as "A". They were very punctual. They were funny because they knew what joke would you like. I would continue using their service in the future. They were very good in communicating in every procedure.

They were very competent and the house keeping was good. The best part was they had a menu and you could order food when you wanted it. It came in 45 minutes.

The people there were all very nice and compassionate. The care that I got was very good. There were a lot of people around and I would have preferred a little more privacy. The doctor’s bedside manner was good and the staff there was very friendly.

They were very thorough, and even though I got sick and passed out, they took good care of me. I would recommend anybody to go their clinic. All of the doctors are really good.
Description of Work: I went to them for testing of my carpel tunnel. I had heart surgery last year that I have recovered from, and I have also gone to their emergency room and for other testing.
