I have been trying to resolve an issue with Jack Williams Glass Block since our windows were installed in July 2014. While the product and installation were mostly trouble-free, the company?s responsiveness to my request for the warranty paperwork, which was promised, has not been.
Upon completion of the install I was told that within a month I would receive what I have understood to be the official document of the warranty for parts and labor in the mail. It did not arrive, so a couple of weeks beyond that I contacted Mr. William?s office and spoke with the woman who answers the phone. She apologized profusely and offered to scan it and email it to me right away. I did not receive the warranty.
Several weeks later I contacted the office again. I spoke with the same woman who again apologized profusely, took my information and said that she would email the warranty to me. Again, I did not receive the warranty.
I called and left a message in March 2015 which was never returned and then did speak with Mr. Williams himself on April 15, 2015. After he questioned why I needed the warranty and asked if I had a problem with the windows (which I do not) he said that he would get it in the mail to me and I should have it in 3-4 days. I have not received the warranty.
I tried to reach Mr. Williams again this past week by phone (2 weeks later) and left a voice message inquiring about the status of the warranty, but my call has once again not been returned and I have not received the warranty.
The work performed by Mr. Williams and his assistant was well done. They removed the old windows, cleaned up the debris and hauled it away. Days later when we noticed several joints between blocks were lacking silicon, Mr. Williams was at the house within a day and took care of it. Other than the fact that the dryer vent he installed was of poor quality and so loose that the dryer duct would not stay connected (we ended up stabilizing the vent with spray foam) I am satisfied with the windows. However, if a 25 year warranty on parts and labor is promised, then it should be delivered in a timely manner. I had quotes from other companies also promising warranties and if Mr. Williams was not going to provide one I would not have contracted with him. It may seem to be just a piece of paper, but it was something I paid for, was promised, and have not yet received.

I had a fantastic experience with Jack Williams Glass Block Inc. We have an old house and it was a cold day and the window fell in. I called another company, who was going to take three weeks to get a new window in. I called Jack Williams and they came out and had another glass block window installed within an hour. I'm going to be calling them again, to have them install three more for me. I was very happy with them. I like the way they did the work. They were really nice. I was very pleased with them.
