Fine, trees were in good condition

We have been customers for years buying annuals, perennials and mulch. The cone flowers we purchased never came up. When I contacted one of the owners recently, he said we should have dug up the roots last year and brought in the remainder when they didn't grow. He said now its been so long that maybe the harsh winter killed them. I thought this was strange since they never grew last year after we bought them. He said he could not replace them and was very rude. He said he would look it over and give us some type of discount. He could see on our account that we had purchased them last year. He didn't say how much he would discount, but said it would be listed on our account when we came in. As we were talking, another customer came in and he basically hung up on me. I'm not one to write bad reviews but he had a very bad attitude. We have been customers for years but won't be back, not even for whatever discount he had for us on the cone flowers.

The review and estimate went as planned. He showed up on time, and in just a few days. He worked to find a time that was convenient for me, which was in the evening. I paid for the consultation and was a little surprised just to get a pencil sketch as a result, but maybe that's standard in the industry. Hard to visualize that way. Anyway, they came when they were supposed to and got the job done quickly. There were a few mistakes on the final invoice, so i did have to review that very closely, but overall i liked what was done. I would definitely buy plants from there again.

Holscher and Hackman did excavation work and I had a large ravine in my yard filled in. They were right on target with the price and quote. I feel the price was good compared to other companies. They were prompt and came when they said they would.

Once I contacted them , it took a while for them to come out and give me an estimate for the work that I wanted done . Then, I contracted with them to do the work . They gave me an appoximate date when the work would begin and how long it would take to complete . They were very accurate with both .

I spent about $500 on that service and I was pretty pleased with the work. I thought they did a pretty good job. I think that when they planted the tree they were very thorough in telling me how to take care of it. At first I wasn’t too impressed when I went there, but the person who installed the tree in was very good.

I have used them several times. They are well informed about their business. They know good maintenance of the plants and shrubs. If there is something they don't know, then they will tell you. They are honest.

He came when he was suppose to. He was the most knowledgeable and well informed person I have ever talked to about plant care and insect control. After the original landscaping was done, it looked great. I called for ideas that I could do myself this time around. They continue to be extremely helpful, and I make all my landscaping purchases from them now.

ON MY FIRST VISIT THERE, I SPENT APPROX. 2 HOURS LOOKING AT TREES. THE ASSOCIATE WAS VERY HELPFUL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE (I BELIEVE HER NAME WAS CHERYL?). I DECIDED TO LOOK AROUND AT OTHER NURSERIES AND COMPARE PRICES AND QUALITY. I COULDN'T FIND COMPARABLE QUALITY, SELECTION, OR PRICES AT THE TWO OTHER NURSERIES I VISITED, SO I RETURNED TO HOLSCHER and HACKMAN TO PICK OUT MY TREE. THEY HAVE 5 ACRES OF PLANTS, AND AN ENORMOUS SELECTION OF JUST ABOUT EVERY TYPE OF TREE YOU WOULD WANT. WHENEVER I MENTIONED A SPECIES, SHE TOOK ME TO IT! THE PLANTING WAS DONE VERY THOROUGHLY AND NEATLY. TIM WAS EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND PROFESSIONAL. HE ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS AND GAVE ADVICE TO MAKE SURE THE TREE THRIVES. HE AND HIS HELPER WERE SO NEAT THAT THEY EVEN SWEPT MY STREET WHERE A LITTLE BIT OF TOPSOIL HAD SPILLED! I WILL DEFINITELY RETURN TO THEIR PLANT FARM FOR ALL MY LANDSCAPING PLANTS.

$50 FEE WAS TAKEN OFF BILL WHEN THEY DID WORK. ON TIME FOR APPRAISAL. DIDN'T SHOW UP WHEN WE EXPECTED FOR WORK. WERE VERY HARD TO BE IN TOUCH WITH--ALWAYS ''IN MEETING'' WHEN I CALLED. FAX MACHINE DIDN'T WORK. OVERALL, I JUST DIDN'T TRUST HIM. THEY CAME TO DO THE WORK WHEN WE WEREN'T EXPECTING THEM, SO WE WEREN'T HOME TO SEE WHAT THEY DID, BUT THE MAILBOX IS VERY WOBBLY.
