They did a great job on the gutters. They are excellent and they called me after hours to go over the estimates. They are really nice people and I would highly recommend them. I will use them again.

Ed Stinson was great to work with. They successfully dealt with my awning frame which was bolted directly into the roof. The crew worked from 9:30 to 9:00pm. Clean up was better than I expected. I would highly recommend.

We have hired HKC twice in the last couple of years. We met Ed Stinson at the Cincinnati Home Show at just the right time - we needed a new roof on our house. Ed explained all the options and provided enough info for us to feel like we were making an informed decision about the best roofing system for our home. Price was fair, installation was excellent, and the house looks better than ever!
More recently, we had a tree fall against the side of the house and damage the siding. Again, Ed came through with great service. The color match, installation, and quality of work were excellent, done in a timely manner, and the price was fair (right on track with our insurance estimate - how often can you say that??).
It sounds funny, but I hope I don't need to call these guys again anytime soon, but if the need arises, I will definitely call HKC. We hope you do as well!

We met Henry from HKC at the Home and Garden Show last winter. We were is search of gutter guards for box gutters on a property we own that is approaching 100 years old, as well as replacing the downspouts that had frozen and busted over the winter. Of all the gutter/roofing companies at the Show, who had all told us gutter guards were not made for box gutters, Henry was the ONLY one to offer an alternative to keep our gutters from freezing and clogging- heat tape. He even told us where to buy it and how to install. We had Henry come to the property, give us a bid on gutter replacement. We got three bids and HKC was in line with the others. They completed the work yesterday and we are very pleased. Not only did they do the gutters but they repaired our porch ceiling that had rot from water, unclogged a roof drain, and replaced some metal on the roof that was rusted from moisture. The workers were neat and polite and Henry stopped by every day to check in things. We were very pleased.

The salesman was very courteous and professional. The price was reasonable compared to other estimates and they had performed work on our house before. They came out when they had orgiinally stated to perform the work. They completed 90% of the work at that time. However, it took almost a month and mulitple phone calls and emails to get the rest of the work completed. I kept getting the excuse that weather was the reason but there were only a few days of poor weather in the month that it took to complete the work. We are in the process of selling our house and needed the work done by a certain date so we could proceed with the inspection and closing. It took a lot of work and persistence on my part to get them out to finish everything. The quality and price were fine but the whole ordeal was less than ideal and I would not use them again.

I'll try to explain the best that I can. This year has been more difficult than previous years due to the harsh winter we experienced. Now that the weather is nice we have all forgotten (Including myself at times) that we nearly broke every record from snow fall to cold temperatures. We shutdown towards the end of November, 2013 and didn't resume work until late March. This had a negative impact on our schedule considering we still had projects from 2013 that needed to be completed. While the weather has improved, it's still been a very wet spring/summer to date. We lost 2 days just last week and another 3 days this week due to the weather. In addition, when removing your original galvanized gutters we found them to be some of the thickest gauge residential gutters we've come a crossed. We broke two of our electric shears and tried multiple cutting devices to get them removed. In the end we ordered a heavier shear and could not get it in time for your homes closing. We don't object that there were some delays in getting the work completed and for that we apologize. We do pride ourselves on quality and professionalism and hope that you'll reconsidered using us in the future. We found this company at the Cincinnati Home and Garden Show, and I am very pleased with our new roof! Ed was the salesman and was great to work with. He was involved during the whole process and made sure everything went well. At the time our roof was being installed, several of our neighbors had new roofs installed by a company that was soliciting door to door. While I'm no expert on roofing, I can see the difference in my roof and the others. I have no metal strips on my roof that eventually get rusty, where the others do. I can also see shingles that look loose and out of place on theirs, but not on mine. It took two days for removal and installation of the new roof. The installers were timely and did a nice job of cleaning up afterwards. I also like the comfort that if anything goes wrong with my roof down the road I am able to contact them. I highly recommend HKC.

Their service was very good. I got no issue with them at all. Their folks were good. They were very prompt, and they worked efficiently. We have been using them since 2010. I found their pricing as very competitive.

That was a problem and Henry came back 5 different times to make sure it was right with no problem. Whenever I called, they were there. There was a leak coming down my chimney and they made sure to get it right. That was about two years ago now and I still haven't seen a drop. They are very good and reliable.

The team that came were punctual, professional, and very friendly. They were very patient with explaining everything to me, and answering all of my questions. They were very good about retaining the copper flashing a previous contractor had installed. Finally, they cleaned the site very well, leaving almost no roofing material from the previous roof.

They were great to work with. I only talked with them on the phone and they came out. They take pictures of the damage and send them to you with the estimate. They are extremely responsive. I was not required to be at home as they only needed roof access. Overall a great job!
