Ordered the flowers 5 days in advance for my wife's birthday.  There's different options you can choose for shipping; I choose the Timed Delivery.  This is supposed to mean that you pick the date and time (which you pay extra for) for the flowers to be delivered.  I said I would like them delivered May 18th between 9 am and 12 noon.  I wanted them to be delivered earlier in the day because she was leaving on a business trip later in the day for a few days.  1 pm rolls around and I still haven't heard anything from her about getting flowers.  Obviously, I wanted them to be a surprise, so I didn't want to spill the beans and ask her if the flowers came yet.  So I decided to call the company.  Talked with a nice lady there who told me that there was no indication on my receipt of the day and time, or that I even paid for the timed delivery.  I'm not sure how this happened because on my receipt it clearly said "TIMED DELIVERY - Specify time, next day or after" and under that "May 18th -  9am to 12noon" for the time to be delivered.  On top of that I was clearly charged extra for this in the "Shipping" column, as well as in my bank account.  So at this point I was told that I would be called back when they figure out what was going on.  Two and a half hours go by and I haven't heard from they so I called back.  I get put on hold again and she comes back and says that the flowers where just delivered.  At this point I had to tell my wife about everything so she ended up having to wait at work later to wait for the flowers.   So an extra charge and 4 hours late.  Flowers did look great, though, but I will definitely not be going there again and I will not be recommending them to any one else.

I visited HJ Benken's website, along with a few others, and found Benken's to be the most easily navigated. They also provided more of the type of arrangement I was looking for, something for my friend to keep throughout the season and plant in her yard if she so chose. The website displayed beautiful photos of a small and very reasonably priced basket, but I chose to send the larger basket that did not have a corresponding photo. I was hoping it would be appropriate for the price difference. After filling out the online request, I accidentally omitted the delivery date. Their call to me to verify delivery was prompt and courteous. I also received an email verification of my entire order for my review. When my friend called to tell me she received the basket, she was overjoyed. It was absolutely beautiful with large, bright, cheerful and seasonal plants. She sent me a photo, and I was very pleased with it and so glad I chose to send the larger planter. It was fabulous!

I buy my plants there a few times a year. Good selection of indoor plants.

My shopping experiences as Benken Garden Center are always enjoyable.

John has some very good ideas, as to what to put in the garden. They were putting it in, in very hot weather. So it took them a little longer, because of the heat. Which was fine. I love what John did, next season it should look even better, hoping it will fill in. I would have them back again.

They were wonderful, the flowers were beautiful, as well as delivered on time too.

Everything has gone great. They are friendly, easy to work with. No issues.

The flowers arrived on time and were great however my wife commented the next day that they were dying. She called in, Benken was extremely apologetic and responsive, asked only for the old arrangement to be left out so they could assess the problem while they dropped off a new arrangement. The new arrangement lasted well into the new week and she loved it. We're prone to use businesses in the neighborhood and we'll continue to do so for flower arrangements and their greenhouse for hanging baskets and perennials/annuals around the home. Benken is pricier than alternatives but we appreciate the quality of the product and their responsiveness.

We had trouble getting someone to come over for our estimate, but he was very helpful when he came. Our appointment was scheduled later in the year than we had hoped. They arrived on time and worked hard to get everything done. They cleaned up completely, both our yard and any of their things. On the expensive side, but very good work.

We have used them in our business, but not at our home. Overall it went fine. They are very good. I don't have a lot of comparisons for their price. We have an ongoing contract with them, so we will continue to use them.

The planter was beautiful. The others that chipped in couldn't believe the size of the arrangement for the price we paid.
