He and his wife run the business. Doug came out in a reasonable amount of time. He was very thorough in making sure that the reason the garbage disposal wasn't working wasn't related to the plumbing (it wasn't).

It went very well. Doug had come by the house a few weeks earlier to look at the fireplace and the gas line so he could determine what he would have to do and the parts he would need to do the job. I had originally asked him for an estimate but he thought I would come out better financially if he did the job for time and materials rather than a set price, so that's what we did. I called Lisa the day after Doug was there and scheduled the date when the actual work would be done. On the day the work was done, Doug actually arrived a few minutes early. He even helped me to dismantle the gas log assembly because I was nervous about messing something up if I had attempted to do this on my own. He completed the work in what I thought was a relatively short time. He then showed me how to use the new valve and the gas line that he had installed under the grate. He also showed me the gas shut-off valve that affects just the fireplace on the outside of the house. I also had a leaky hose spigot on the back of the house so I asked Doug to give me an estimate on replacing it. He said the spigot might not need to be replaced - maybe just repaired. We went outside to look at the spigot and Doug was able to quickly stop the leaking with his tools. He also made sure that I knew where the shut-off valve is located in the basement and explained the process that I need to go through to drain the outside water line before it gets too cold. This was a very pleasant experience overall and Doug is definitely "my" plumber from now on.

He figured out a problem that other plumbers couldn't. His prices are cheaper than the other plumbers I've compared him to. He is very responsive and he has come at short notice for us.

On the Tuesday of my first appointment I received a message from Lisa which stated Doug could not access my house because she apparently forgot to write down the code to the lock box attached to my door with the key inside. At that moment things could have turned for the worse but Lisa "rebooked" and proceeded to tell me if anything opened up sooner I would be the first to know about it. After the second appointment on Thursday Doug called promptly and explained the situation. He was professional, upbeat and understood I would have questions, which he was happy to take the time to answer. He told me he wanted to get this done before the weekend and would do his best to make it happen. I had left a check on the counter for my deductible since this would be covered under my homeowners insurance policy but he refused to take it until the work was done! The job was finished on Friday and this ended up being a very good experience. I know who to call in the future.

DOUG GIBSON WAS SENT BY MY HOME WARRANTY COMPANY. HE WAS ON TIME, FRIENDLY, AND CONSCIENTIOUS. HE FIXED MY PROBLEM AND GAVE ME ADVICE ABOUT HOW TO AVOID IT IN THE FUTURE. I WOULD DEFINITELY CALL HIM AGAIN.

It was an easy fix;apparently all garbage disposals have a "key", and when they get locked because things are stuck they just need the key to open it up. Very simple, but expensive.

THEY DID EXCELLENT WORK. HE WAS VERY GOOD AT EXPLAINING WHAT HE WAS DOING AND WHY IT NEEDED TO BE DONE. I THOUGHT THIS WAS PRETTY INEXPENSIVE FOR WHAT HE DID.

STAYED ALL DAY, SUNDAY, TO WAIT ON KITCHEN SINK CLOG TO CLEAR AND DIDNT CHARGE EXTRA. UNSTOPPED TOILET TOO. VERY WONDERFUL COMPANY. (GAVE MEMBER FREE LID FOR TOILET.)

FRIENDLY, PROFESSIONAL SERVICE. GOOD COMMUNICATION WITH US ABOUT WHAT WAS NEEDED. PLUMBER'S WIFE HANDLES THE PHONE, AND CAN BE SLOW TO RETURN CALLS.

HE WAS SUPPOSED TO RETURN TO INSTALL A NEW FAUCET BUT HE DID NOT COME BACK WHEN HE WAS SCHEDULED TO. HE DID GOOD WORK TH E FIRST TIME HE CAME.
