No other jeweler or pawn shop in Cincinnati was even close on price or even close to appraising the pieces accurately. I have gone there before. Changing the battery in a digital watch involves breaking a water tight seal, and I didn?t feel capable doing it myself. I was wary about taking it to the shopping center and having them do it, so I went to jeweler that does jewelry repair.

I bought a CASIO watch from Amazon. The band was to loose. I asked the Geraci  employee if they could take two links from the band while I waited. I did this .so I could try it out. They did it within ten minutes and said that if it was to tight or loose they would fix it.
I asked about them changing the battery in my wife's watch. They said it would be $15.00. It cost me $35.00 at a different Jewelry store that did it last. They were friendly and helpful.

Joe Geraci took a lot of time with me to go through the hundreds of pieces I brought in for evaluation and potential sale, even though most of them turned out to be mere costume jewelry.  He explained a lot to me about precious metal and gem jewelry in general.  He seemed to actually have fun going through it all.  He was friendly and offered several anecdotes during the jewelry inspection, but at the same time, he was very professional and answered all my questions patiently and thoroughly and even checked several times to make sure he had addressed my concerns.  The work he did on the rings and the appraisal work was paid for by the money I made selling some of the jewelry and silver plated items to him.  (I also got a significant check for the overage.)  The appraisals and the work on the ring sizings were finished when promised, and I was called when they were done.  Everything turned out perfect, and the appraisals looked very professional as well and were presented in a very nice folder.  I have received appraisals for a lower cost before, but they were never as well presented.  I had taken a leap of faith in doing business with this jeweler, but I was very satisfied with the results.

They are honest. The complete all of the work in house. You can talk to the guy who works on your jewelry. They customize pieces for you. It is high quality. I would use them again in the future.

We purchased a custom engagement ring, unique shape, from the owner, Joseph Geraci in February 2011. We returned a month later to have a custom wedding band designed. We thought since he designed the ring, he would be the best to design the wedding bands. He was professional, attentive, and took pictures of the ring so the band would perfectly match. He asked us to email any pictures we saw/ drew so he knew what we had in mind as well. I emailed the photos two nights later, never heard back from him by phone or email stating he received it. I waited two weeks, called to confirm and the person on the phone said they had been very busy but would check if he received it and call me back. I got a call two days later saying he received the email. I sent another email with one more idea for the rings... never heard back again. My fiance called again a few weeks after and was told someone would call him back. Two days later, he called again and Joseph said he had some ideas but was unable to email or fax them (they hadn't been drawn.). After 6 months, we thought it best to find a wedding band on our own since he seemed to not want our business. We should have never had to initiate contact so many times.
