He came out to look at the job, and he said he could do the job. A couple of weeks went by but I never heard from him. After multiple e-mails and calls he finally responded said he would come out to do the job but never showed up.

We called the Furniture Medic to repair six antique dining room chairs. We have been unable to use them due to instability and a split seat on one of them. Doug came to our home to look at the chairs, told us what he would do to fix the problems and gave us an estimate. We were told we would have them within a two to three week time frame. The work was completed on time and the chairs can once again be used on a daily basis...we feel secure sitting on them once again. Great job!

Did an extimate that contained alot of detailed information on what the issues to be addressed are, how the remedial actions would be implemented and how long it would take.

I was very happy with the service. Doug was very professional. He came to my house and gave me an estimate and explained everything that he would have to do to repair the chair. Repaired the chair earlier than expected and delievered it back to my house.

When I called, he came the next day. He gave me a written estimate at that time. He gave me a timeframe based on the work he already had to do. He gave me a couple days as I was going to have guests at my home. They were very cordial and they called to let me know when they were going to bring the couch back. Everything was handled in a very timely and professional manner.

It was very intricate work and he charged me around $150 per chair. They were very accommodating. They came looked at the chair and picked them. They took them and brought them back. It was very good service. Many others want you to bring the furniture to them and that is not always easy to do. They were very good.

Awesome company, great job. When doug came out he noticed there was also a crack in the chair in addition to the rail being broken. Both were fixed to perfection and returned promptly. We will definitely use this company again.

It is always productive, creative and fun experience working with Doug. When he leaves with our stuff we are sure that he understands what outcome(s) we envision. The furniture mending works and his restorations exactly match our mind's eye. We never feel like he has forgotten our job. He leaves us looking forward to the next time.

They came to apartment, emptied large chest of drawers and turned it over. They cleaned the broken pieces of leg to bureau, reglued the pieces and applied matching caulk to fill seams. They were able to lacquer the leg with quick dry. Righted the bureau and replaced the drawers. Took 1.5 hours to complete work and clean up. Great service, extremely professional and friendly.

We moved into our house and the moving company damaged many of our furniture pieces including knocking some window cornices down. Our dining room table had many scratches along with our bedroom side tables. Deep grooves along the tops of these pieces were devastatingly noticeable. I didn't think anything could be done. The moving company had to pay for repairs and they used Furniture Medic to do them. I was amazed that everything could be fixed. Still there but almost not noticeable.

When he came to give us an estimate on the work, Tom was extremely personable and polite. Initially he said that a simpler repair to the sliders would be necessary, but he did make clear that the costs of the molding would depend on his supplier matching it as closely as possible. The secondary movers (who trucked the table from our house to the workshop) were prompt and pleasant. Tom called us a week or so later to update us on the more extensive repairs needed and to confirm the final price, which ended up being about $200 more than the original estimate. He had clearly worked hard on diagnosing the problem with the sliders and on getting a molding that would not pop off again. I agreed to the new price and the work took another week. Once again, the delivery men were prompt, polite, and efficient. Considering that this is an antique table, they could have taken more precautions carrying it (it's REALLY heavy for only two guys, especially sideways through the door!) but no damage was done. We love our "new" table!

Mr. Alexander evaluated the job immediately saying that the sewing machine could be reassembled and that he would do it by Christmas. I called a couple of times to see how it was going. There was one insoluble problem concerning the seating of the machine inside the cabinet, but otherwise the reconstruction was sturdy, beautiful and finished and delivered on time.

Tom reviewed with us the manner in which he would make the repair and the time frame that it would take to complete. The work was done differently than originally explained because of the quality of the construction of the chair but the repair is flawless. The repair was completed in less time than the estimate and for less cost than the original estimate.

They are extremely service oriented. They go above and beyond in order to meet your needs. The wait was about 6 weeks because it was during their busy season, although it was worth the wait! Our furniture looks spectacular. The color of the buffet matches the original stain, and all the details were taken care of. Doug Alexander is such a pleasure to deal with. He is very professional, courteous, and responsive. We plan on hiring them to refinish our chairs, when we are ready to do so.
