FACTORY DIRECT COUNTERTOPS

I had to special order the countertops, because of the set up of the kitchen. When they removed the countertop they did not set down anything do cover the drawers. They were punctual when they came out. When they came out to do the installation they discovered that they had cut the countertops wrong, so they would have to take it back out. They left the biggest mess and they damaged my door frame as they brought it in and out. There were other damages with the countertop. I have called and tried to set up an appointment with the president. I just wanted him to come out and take a look rather than taking my word for it or his employee?s word for it. He just told me that his employees never lie. I think that he was under the impression that I was not going to pay for the service, because I split the amount onto two credit cards and he told me that was because I did not have the money for the work. I have never had a more horrendous customer service experience. I have turned it in to everyone that I can think of to get help. I finally called the manufacturer and they were able to help me get the countertops repaired. I paid a lot of money for the work that I got, but the prices for the countertops were okay. I would never ever recommend them.

The countertop installation itself was fine.

They were very helpful with picking what I wanted. I am picky so I gave her a hard time when it came to choosing. When everything was chosen the price was good. They have a lot of brands. She didn't try to sell me the most expensive product. She told me that two different kinds were actually the same except for the brand name. She was very up front and honest. The installation team did an excellent job. They were punctual, did an excellent job and cleaned up after themselves.

This is a great company to use if you know what you want. Their price was comparable to the big box stores but thought the smaller company would give better customer service. That's not how it worked. Took a while and you never knew just where you were in the process. Had picked up countertops chips from a big box store. They do not make much margin on laminate so they will not measure in the evenings or anything like that. You are on their schedule. Still, they did a great job. The countertops are beautiful. The backsplash was not as high as the old ones so some painting had to be done, but Bill McDaniel, the installer, is a pro and he made sure everything was just right. Very happy with how they look.

A comedy of errors. The morning of our install as we waited for FDC to arrive, we received a call that they had accepted delivery awhile ago of the wrong color sink and that it would take 1-2 weeks to replace. A day off work was wasted. The replacement sink had a crack in it, which they installed anyway saying they would replace it later. Two addt'l sinks arrived with cracks. FDC finally installed a good sink, but when tearing apart our kitchen countertops to get the sink replaced, the countertops didn't go back on with the same seamless look that we paid a large premium for. The plumber they assigned to our install job scraped/dinged a new expensive appliance in the course of removing our old sink, and FDC said they aren't responsible for their subcontractors and that I'd need to deal with it. (This same plumber also backed out of our driveway and knocked our mailbox of its post, throwing nailed-down house numbers into the street. He was to put it kindly a bull in a china closet).

Everyone at this company was very professional & helpful in the selection of countertop material. Their prices were very competitive. The installation went very smoothly.

WE FOUND THIS COMPANY THROUGH AN ADVERTISEMENT IN A LOCAL MAGAZINE AND FOUND THEM TO HAVE PRICES THAT BEAT THE COMPETITION WITH PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION. THEY ARE THE LOCAL INSTALLERS FOR AVANZA SOLID SURFACE COUNTERTOPS AND THEREFORE WERE TRUSTED TO DO A GOOD JOB WHICH THEY DID.
