EASTGATE POOLS

First of all I like my pool; however they got their money and could care less about me from that point. I have a fairly level back yard and I feel that I was taken advantage of with the $15 extra for every inch after 1 foot that had to be dug. There is no way that they had to dig 26 inches in my yard to get it level also the pool cover is supposed to be under warranty and they found every excuse in the world not to cover it. I will never spend another dime with this company.

Everything went as planned. Eastgate was great to work with. Special thanks to our salesman Craig & our construction manager Drew. They were awesome.

Excellent! The pool turned out great. The employees at Eastgate were very helpful, knowledgeable, and great to work with through the entire planning and construction process. They are very experienced in the pool business which was a bonus for someone building their first pool

Charles was excellent and said I don't need to add any pool clarifier with my D.E. filter. Saved me time and money.

Over the years I have purchased many $1000's in pool chemicals from Eastgate and often get my water sample checked by their very competent staff.  Last month, we purchased a new furniture set for our 2nd floor deck and we are thrilled with them.  Also, purchased new propane tank and had filled for new gas burner.  Now, scheduling the spring pool opening with them because of all the years of great service.

The project we took on started in early July.  Eastgate Pool and Spas was highly recommended to us from serveral people and my sister was one of them.  I went there and was immediately happy with the experience and attention that Debbie paid to me.  She gave me good information, feedback on my concerns and the confidence that we selected the right pool for my family size. and the property we were putting it on.  
The first step was to have our yard excavated and that was a concern since we live in Kentucky and there are very few flat yards here.  Ours has a long and fairly even slope and needed to be dug out.  We were told that it would need to be dug out about 7' deep. Our excavator was excellent (only word I can use for him).  Ask for Rodney, he is the best!!! He was also the guy who installed our pool and I was so happy with his work, I had him come and build the deck around the pool.  He excavated the ground to 1/8" level. It was like an artist at work..(so impressed!!!!) He gave us good advise regarding spacing for the retaining wall and he dug everything out for us for a very reasonable cost.  After the retaining wall was installed, Rodney came back and installed the pool with precision.  He knew exactly how long it would take and set up the timing for the water to be delivered.  We were swimming in 4 days after the pool was filled.  The last few weeks of August we enjoyed the pool... We had Rodney come to build our deck and he produced a deck that we just cannot wait to use next year.  It is beautiful and exactly what we wanted.  We are sooooo pleased with our experience at Eastgate Pools and Spas and will recommend them to as many people as we can.  Rodney, I just cannot say enough good stuff about this guy.  He is very professional and Eastgate should be thrilled and proud to have him on staff.  Thank you all at Eastgate for giving us a great experience!!!!

They had a great selection of outdoor/patio furniture.  We had looked alot of places and could not find the quality of furniture that we wanted.  We stopped here and the service was great and we found exactly what we wanted.

They did a great job.

They built my pool in 1997 and come twice yearly to winterize the pool and also to open it for the summer season. The only complaint I have with them is that the concrete apron around the pool has a lot of cracks in it and I don't think the company they had do the concrete work did as good a job as they should have. Other than that, Eastgate does a nice job; they have good quality people.

This is a 28 year old inground pool. The previous liner had been poorly installed by another company.
Eastgate measured and ordered a new liner. The liner was delivered in less than the quoted ten days. The installers spent hours in sweltering heat, patching the walls and floors due to the poor installation of the previous liner (not by Eastgate) and braved a thunderstorm to hang the new liner.
The  visit to measure and the installation were done on time.  All the eastgate people were courteous and professional. I'm completely satisfied with the liner installation it looks good no wrinkles or leaks.

Eastgate pools came to our home to open our pool but due to a problem with the liner they were unable to do so.  The staff that came out was not friendly and talked down to us and were very disrespectful.  We were provided incorrect instructions also by the staff who came to the service call. We called and spoke with the manager and he was not helpful either. 

We switched to Eastgate pools after some issues with another pool company. Eastgate was very responsive to our problems and very helpful in solving the mystery of a bad pump installed by the other company. I had to repeatedly have them come back for issues and they only charged me for the first inital issue coming back out again and again at no charge to try and solve the problems we kept having with our pump. They were very pacient in explaining everything to me and helping me understand what the problems were. I have been very satisfies with their service.

Very expensive high end spa was installed by this company in 2006 with 5 year factory warranty. In spite of  price spa has periodic issues and is not trouble free. The service manager generally has a bad attitude when contacted to provide any kind of service for this unit. Usually negative when not outright rude if problems arise. The sales staff who sold us the spa was fine. The problem is with the service dept manager. Needs a seriuos attitude adjustment! Last issue came up in July 2010. The usual indifference and slow response when a circuit board went bad. Very indifferent response at best and acted as if he was doing me a favor to send some one out to address the problem. Due to attitude of service dept, would not buy from them again.

They installed our pool as well. I like their knowledge and professionalism. They know all about pool upkeep, water chemicals and operation of the filter.

The company was very helpful. It took a while to get the parts in. The wrong parts came in the first time, so we had to wait a little longer for the correct ones. When the parts came in, they gave us the other parts to help with any other problems that may arise, which came in very handy. My husband put everything back together and it works great! We will use this company again in the future.

It was fine. Not great, not too bad. Just fine. I think the craftsmanship & execution looked good, but I was very disappointed with their responsiveness. I had to leave 3 voicemail messages (the last one was pretty stern) to get them to call me back confirming my installation appointment and to respond to some key questions (i.e. do we need to be home during the installation). They owe us a $300 credit (b/c the first liner we bought was out of stock, the 2nd liner was less expensive) and after requesting it twice, they still have not paid it to us. They do seem nicer and are easier to work with than other pool companies in the area. But if I had a choice, I would not use them again. Not to mention, that they installed the liner, but would not help us drain our pool (without a $400 fee) or set up our pool with the right chemicals. Pretty frustrating for first time pool owners!

FINALLY, a pool place does not just try to sell you chemicals. When you get your water tested, it is very accurate, they explain what you need to do, and do not upsell any chemicals. I had a problem with my water this year and went to 3 places to get it resolved. 2 places just kept throwing chemicals at it. Eastgate tested the water with additional tests than the usual pH, Cl-, etc., determined what the problem was and had it fixed in no time. Chet, the gentleman who tests the water....he could teach Einstein a few things about water chemistry.

I called for a service estimate. I told sales rep that the pool and spa were purchased elsewhere; he said their service dept could take care of our needs. I left a message for the service dept; a rep called back and said Eastgate only services equipment purchased at Eastgate. I called the company back, and Stacey put me on long-term hold. I hung up.

Wonderful people to deal with. One main person to deal with comes out to the site on multiple occasions to help plan for the pool. Everything proceeded as scheduled. They took us uneventfully through the entire pool installation. Gave a wonderful in service regarding operation of the pump and chemicals for the pool. Provided a great company to do all of the electrical work, also was done in a very timely fashion. All in all a pleasant company to deal with.

GREAT ADVICE IN SHOP. LET YOU TAKE THE TIME IT NEEDS TO COMPARE MODELS AND THINK ABOUT FEATURES. HAVE GOOD PEOPLE THEY CONTRACT TO INSTALL. HAPPY WITH THE HOT TUB EVER SINCE.

POOL CARE IS A FABULOUS COMPANY.
