Jaime Masters is a man of integrity, who we were able to trust with the single biggest financial transaction of our lives thus far. I could not conceive of trying to buy or sell a house in Cincinnati without his assistance. Jaime put in the time and worked for our business, despite the fact that we were not easy clients. He was always “on top of it”, and always responsive. We were undecided as to if we wanted to spend top dollar for a move-in ready home, less money for a fixer upper, or to just find a lot/a home to scrape so that we could build from scratch, or maybe even rebuild the home we were moving out of. Jamie managed the communications around our shifting priorities as we weighted our options, with clarity, grace and excellent organization. He consistently went beyond our expectations as to what a realtor can realistically do. With Jaimie's degree in construction management from Northwestern, and his ownership of Digs (construction, design, real estate), Jaime was able to walkthrough a house with us and provide realtime estimates on remodeling options, both cosmetic and structural. As the majority of Cincinnati's housing stock is older, this was essential for us. We needed to know what could be done to refresh and modernize a home, what it would cost, and if that cost, plus the purchase price, would result in overbuilding.  As a lifelong resident of Cincinnati, Jaime possesses a deep knowledge of the subtleties, nooks and gradations of each neighborhood, and a strong sense of the local market. We worked with Jaime over the course of many months and thus we had an opportunity to see his understanding of local pricing confirmed. Jaime would let us know that a particular property was overpriced and would give us his estimation of the price it would sell at, and then over time, we would watch as the owner would lower the price, and the property sell at the price Jaime identified. Or, Jaime would let us know if he thought a property was priced appropriately, or if the property would sell quickly- over and over we watched as his assessments were validated. Jamie used his substantial connections to find out which families were considering selling in the near future and then ran the comps to help us price out these potential options. Our process with Jaime occurred during the first months of Covid-19 pandemic. Despite the added stress and difficulties, Jamie was at all times kind, patient, easy to be around, and to talk to. Jamie has an easy quiet laugh and smile. Despite having two very little kids at home Jaime was alway generous with his time in person and over the phone. Ultimately, the contract that was bringing us to Cincinnati did not come together, and sadly, we did not end up moving.
