The furniture and artwork went in on the scheduled day, the pictures were taken and sent to my agent, who put them on the listing.
Everyone commented how beautiful the house looked! To say the least. it got lots of showings, and we got an offer on the house within TWO weeks of putting it on the market! I sincerely believe that the staging was not an expense, but an investment to get the house sold quickly!
I highly recommend Jo and her team if you are selling a house!
Jo evaluated the MLS pictures during our phone conversation. She walked through the property, explained the first impressions, and gave me an estimate for staging. On the day of staging, she and her associate arrived on time with a vanload of everything from artwork to lamps, light bulbs, picture hooks and hammers. In 3 hours, they transformed the presentation of the house using a well designed decor that featured the best aspects of the home. When they left, they provided a very modest list of suggestions for additional finishing touches. The buyer feedback changed from and quot;datedand quot; to and quot;very nice propertyand quot; immediately. The updated MLS pictures helped bring in higher quality buyers.
Design to Market's approach was very practical. They did not focus on major renovations, large projects or a suggest long list of purchases. Instead, they brought in a few pieces of furniture to emphasize the best use of key rooms in the property, then showed the rest of the house to advantage by placing rugs, artwork, lamps, and knicknacks. They left me with a list of suggestions that I was able to accomplish easily such as painting one wall, changing linens in the baths, and prepacking some items.
Unlike a previous stager who left me with a overwhelming list of projects and my home in complete disarray, the house was ready to show immediately when they left. I felt good about the property and the way it looked. I was especially relieved to avoid time and money shopping for decor items I will not use again. Most importantly, buyers' perception of the house changed from dated to well maintained and the feedback was much more positive.
