DAN RUTHER HOME IMPROVEMENT

I wish I could say it went better. A detailed written estimate was not provided and it's my fault for not getting one up front. He billed for work not done that he said he would do and refused to discuss in any real way. The quality of the work was mostly good, when done. Dan and his assistant needed to be asked and reminded to complete tasks and details that were previously discussed like installing trim or moving out the old fridge to make room for the new one. He often disagreed and/or stated that detailed work wasn't necessary, then other times took on extra work outside of the original scope happily. In one instance he became agitated and irritated and raised his voice at my wife over an issue he had w/ the faucet installation, claiming there were parts missing, and chastising her for ordering the product online vs. buying in the store....but after he calmed down and thought the issue through, the install went fine. I would have gladly paid more to avoid the headaches and worry over proper quality work and more professionalism. Everyone who has seen the kitchen says it looks great, though.

Dan and his team did a great job. They were responsive and did a high quality job. They aren't going to give you a lot of itemized estimates up front, but they are fair and reasonable as the project goes. You kind of talk out what needs to be done and cost of it as you go. Price was below other bidders, and I think they did an excellent job. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Dan and his team were excellent. He came highly recommended from a friend who's basement looked great thanks to Dan Ruther. I had interviewed a couple of contractors prior to hiring him and found Dan to be the most helpful as far as giving suggestions on what to do in my (previously) poorly finished basement. Dan's estimate was much lower than other quotes because he came up with a way to salvage some of the existing drywall and ceiling, which other contractors did not suggest.  Dan and his guys were good at answering my questions and explaining what they were doing as the process went along.  I also had them convert the ugly fluorescent light in my kitchen to canned lights and smooth out the ceiling.  That turned out beautifully too.

He did a great job.

Dan Ruther Home Improvement was courteous and professional. They were excellent.

Dan and his men are prfofessional and do good work. They show up and get the job the job done. They show up when they say they will be there. These are people you can trust with your home.
