They did a great job, understood what I needed just from a telephone call, got the work done quickly and on time. Very satisfied and would recommend to anyone.

I took the 2 pairs of shoes into the shop. They gave me cost information on the spot. I was required to pay a 50% deposit. They take cash or checks only. The price doesn't include polishing. The cost seemed a bit steep but I had used another shoe repair shop in the past and wasn't satisfied with the results (sole gluing that didn't last a month). Also, these were good quality shoes and the price to repair was a fraction of replacing them. I was able to pick up the shoes a few days later.

I first took in two pairs of old shoes to have the soles and heels replaced. They completed the service in just one day, which I thought was incredible. When I picked up the shoes I was thrilled to see how good they looked. However, I noticed that the heels did not look like the original and quot;hardand quot; material heels that were originally on the shoes, and which I thought I had pointed out and requested when I dropped them off. But I thought I would try them out to see if they were OK or not. I tested each pair on a hard surface when I got home and found they were not what I wanted/expected. I called them and described the situation and they were very nice on the phone and said to bring them back in and they would do what they could to remedy the situation. When I took them back in we discussed the misunderstanding and at that time it became apparent to me that my instructions to them about what type of heels I wanted when I dropped off the shoes, were probably not as clear as what I thought they were. But again, they were very nice about it and said they would replace the heels with something as close to what I wanted as possible. Once again the shoes were ready in just a day and looked great. At that time I dropped off another pair of shoes and they replaced just the soles, again in one day, and they looked great as well. I thought they handled the situation very well and was very satisfied.

When I walked in they looked at my shoes to see if it needed toe tips, as well as, heel tips. They decided the toes were fine. They gave me a choice between two grades of heel tips. I went with the more expensive pair at $12 per set including labor - cash only. He said it would be fifteen minutes, but I could not wait. I needed to pick someone up in Mt. Washington. Within five minutes the cobbler was at my car with the shoes. He actually brought them out to me. They looked great. I had no complaints.

My clogs are no longer wearable. This is because Dand P (the owner stated he did the work) replaced the sole with one that was too large. In order to make it fit, he removed 1/3 inch off the heal, which enlarged the surface to apply the sole. This caused the clog to not "rock' properly which is the key the design feature of these clogs. I went back to the store with another pair of clogs to show him the differences in height, sole, and construction of the arch on the bottom of the clog. My goal was to find a solution to fix my clogs. The owner lied and said he replaced 1 for 1, which I know is not the case. I wear the clogs weekly, and I'm very familiar with the look and feel of wearing them. It's also obvious when you compare this pair to another that I have. The clogs returned to me are not wearable - they cause my legs to ache because his alterations impacted the design and feel/wear. The conversation ended with him telling me to get the F out of the store. The store I visited was in the 8000 block of Beechmont, but it's the same business as the one ion the 7000 block.
