Excellent work. We highly recommend Don and will use him again if a need arises.

We have known Don Weiss since 2003, at which time he was recommended to us by a friend who had built a house in Glendale. He did our kitchen remodel in 2003. When we wanted to do our master bathroom and bedroom remodel, we called him as well. I don't know if this is usually what he does, but for us, he acted as our informal general contractor and helped bring together all the people necessary to do our remodel project. He also worked with us to sketch out a new bathroom design. We bought all our granite and tile at Mees, and he was there to help us pick out materials and color coordinate. We put in a large walk in shower, and we gave him artistic license to tile it as he saw fit. The bathroom floor is in alternating 24 x 12 inch porcelein tile pieces. He extended these into the shower for the walls, breaking the design in two places to put horizontal pieces of a complimentary tile for a visual break. He tiled the floor with cut pieces of 12 x 12 inch tile in a geometric pattern radiating out from the drain. It looks fantastic.
We have a fireplace in our master suite which had originally been surrounded by tan marble. He tiled it from floor to ceiling in India slate tile, which creates a terrific visual centerpiece to the room.
He is a meticulous craftsman with an artistic eye.

Don was recommended to us by our general contractor who uses Creative Tile Art for all of his work. Overall it was a great experience. Don is very knowledgeable and skilled and was helpful in helping us choose our layout and tile. We had many special request that he graciously performed and the outcome was great. This included installing several antique tile fixtures as well as some custom slate shelving. Once the work got started they finished in a timely manner. They did an excellent job keeping the job site clean and when they were finished the bathroom was left sparkling clean. I would certainly use him again (in fact, we plan on it).

We had a new fireplace installed but we needed to finish the raised hearth and the wall surrounding it. Using a slate slab I had picked out at Mees, Don listened to what I was envisioning, drew up the design and then came back again to discuss the design to be sure everything was what I wanted. He then had the stone cut to his specifications to insure decorative characteristics of the stone would be located in the right places when completed.
When Don came to install the slate and later returned to grout and finish the fireplace surround, he took care to make sure
that when he finished, the area was clean.
It was a pleasure to work with someone who had an artistic sense when designing the look I was trying to achieve. He strives to turn out quality work and satisfy his clients.
