Brian was prompt with his bid and followed through on monitoring work and dealing with any minor problems. Work was completed as contracted and results were fantastic. I would highly recommend Cincinnati Horticulture Group and will use them again.

Backyard was not draining rainwater. Puddles would sit for days in the yard. It started to rain hard the the evening after they finished, approximately three hours after installation of French Drain was completed. Other than muddy spots still remaining from previous issues, there was no sign of standing water the next morning.

I had water come up through the cracks in my basement floor after an extreme rainfall event. Garage gutters overflowed because existing underground pipe was clogged and other gutter issues. Called the horticulture group for that but Brian also suggested I address the severe grade issue I had toward the house due to a sunken sidewalk. He spent a good amount of time measuring the grade at various points around the house and looked at the entire yard and house with respect to grade. The work they did was to remove the sidewalk and replace it with a beautiful paver sidewalk that was carefully constructed to take water away from the house. They installed an underground pipe to take gutter water away from the house and they corrected the grade in my front yard to better utilize an existing catch basin and pipe. Did a lovely job with installing new landscaping. Removed some taxis bushes. The entire crew were professional and conscientious and Brian kept me informed every day if there were issues or questions. Probably one of the best experiences I've ever had on a job from start to finish! Highly recommend for drainage issues, paver work and yard beautification.

Came out a couple times and offered some good solutions(french drains, cistern, etc) to a complex problem. He used an independent contractor(my cost) to TV scope my exterior drains and found them all cracked and barely if at all functional, which was the root of my problem. I'm still weighing my options/costs for repair.

This was a very challenging job from the start. Soil in my back yard didn’t drain or dry, limited space to maneuver, creek with standing water. Brian’s team handled it better than I really thought was possible. I have read previous reviews about timeliness being an issue, but Brian was up front with us about the fact that weather is the main driver of time line. He set the expectation that the Work would be done at the end of summer and we only got delayed beyond that due to hurricane rains that kept coming through the area. If you don’t get frustrated by this sort of thing then you will have a great experience. Estimate was accurate, no increase in labor cost even though I know it was wet and messy out there, reduced cost by using previous block that was here, stayed in contact with me via text during the work phase consistently. Overall good individual with a business that does good work.

Before purchasing a home I noticed the yard had a lot of standing water days after it rained. I reached out to Cincinnati Horticulture Group and was quickly contacted by Brian. I explained the issue and my concerns. He let me know that it was correctable and even gave me some ideas of how it could be fixed. A few months after purchasing the home, I contacted Brian again. He came out to the house to determine the best way to drain the areas of standing water in the lawn. He recommended a couple a French drains and a catch basin. He even suggested using the extra soil to help prevent my driveway from cracking in the future. Within days I receive a quote and decided to have the work done. Brian worked with me to complete everything while we were on vacation. When I arrived back home everything was finished. The yard looked good, grass seed was planted in the areas that needed it. You would never of guessed a team was there working for the entire week. Just last week it rained for 2 1/2 days straight and left us with 3-4 inches of rain. There was NO standing water in my yard! Two days after the rain it was dry enough to cut. Cincinnati Horticulture Group took my swampy yard and turned it into an area that I can now use and enjoy. Throughout the entire process, Brian's communication and professionalism could not of been any better. He knows his business and is truly a nice guy. I plan on having the yard landscaped next year and will contact him for sure.

He re-graded the backyard (which involved busting up a 4-6 inch deep concrete sidewalk from the patio to the side of the house - probably original). Two guys came and did the work as expected in 2-3 days. The work on the front of the house was much easier and only took a few hours. They also filled several low spots in the front yard with dirt and grass seed. Brian was very easy to talk to and even adjusted the price lower when the work in the front didn't take as long. So far there hasn't been any water going into the window wells despite several rains.

Brian came out and gave an honest assessment of the water issue and a method to correct it. It will take some hard rains and maybe next spring to fully know how it works, but I am confident that it will help a lot with our issue. Brian was very easy to communicate with and work with. After completion we thought there was a possible minor issue and Brian responded quickly and said it would be fixed as it was not to his full liking. Even with the slight issue, we liked working with the crew led by Jonathan and he even said to feel free to call if things don't seem quite right down the road. You can sometimes learn a lot about a company in how they address even minor issues, and we are glad we chose to work with Brian and Cincinnati Horticulture Group.

Work was completed quickly and well done. Workers were first class quality individuals and a pleasure to work with. Work that was possible for Angie's List promo was totally inadequate. Promo deal did not cover any meaningful work. Better to get estimate for work needed directly from service provider instead of purchasing and pre-paying for a promo from Angie's List. Lesson learned.

They did an excellent job. It was a muddy week when they did all the digging but they did their best to keep the mess to a minimum. The crew was very nice and polite. Our sales rep was punctual and helpful. He is the one who noticed our patio drainage issue and offered a solution. The patio has been retaining water for years and this makes a real mess as the mulch and dirt end up on the patio. We were happy he offered up a solution.

They are very professional. They take the time to explain options. They keep you informed. The consumer should realize their work is dependent on weather conditions, if it too wet and soggy they can't get their heavy equipment out to excavate to do the job. Be patient it is well worth the wait. I would hire them again without hesitation.

The company was quick to respond and sent a person to inspect my yard. He suggested a few things to be done for which he told me he would send an estimate. I waited for a few days and then sent him a reminder for the estimate. I NEVER received the estimate even after months and finally got the work done from a different contractor whom my friends suggested.
Response from Cincinnati Horticulture Group Inc
"Historically when someone receives a quote and does not respond, it means that they do not want the work performed. We emailed a quote to him and never got a response so we figured that this was the case. We did not receive any further communication from him. No emails, or phone calls to the office or the sales rep's cell phone. We have recently been attaching read receipts to these in case the recipient does not get the email. It is very disappointing that someone would post such a negative review based on unintentional lack of communication not to mention that he was thirty minutes late to our scheduled appointment with him."

Cincinnati Horticulture Group Inc. (CHGI) was steadfast in determining the issue and implementing a solid workable resolution that did not include sump pump (our goal). CHGI performed the necessary measurement with transit level, modified our grading and installed multiple buried drains to take away the surface water in an effective manner. We now have a dry crawlspace.
