He was prompt, courteous, seemed to know his business, and made helpful suggestions.

Chris is a good painter, very reliable, responsible, and reasonably priced. Over the years, I've used him to paint the exterior of my house, the inside of a 3-car garage, as well as several rooms. I will continue to use Chris, and would recommend him to others.

He is very neat and clean and does a good job. He also cleans up well after himself. He comes when he says he will come and is reliable. We trust him and we leave the house with him in it because he has painted several rooms.

Chris Haviland did a very good job, and the work was completed per his written estimate. Good coverage of stain (2 coats on house, 1 on deck). He also gave recommendations about using an acrylic solid stain on the house to avoid mildew problems I had with oil stain. Cleaned up the work area. He was friendly. He called to let me know if he wasn't coming on a particular day due to rain predictions. The only shortcoming: He has strong opinions and pushed me into using a solid stain on the deck when I wanted semi-transparent. I'm not entirely happy with the look of it, and I should have stood my ground, & not let him talk/push me into it. So I'm taking a little of the quality score, I had estimates from 3 painters. Chris's estimate was about mid-way between the other two.
