 + -1 moreI scratched the passenger side of my car against a pole in a parking lot and went to Burton's to have it repaired. They did a good job on the repairs and even thoroughly cleaned the inside of the car. The reason they are getting a "C" instead of an "A" from me is because it took way too long to complete the repairs. I had a very similiar repair done on my car a year ago and it took 3 days at a different body shop. I dropped my car off at Burton's on a Monday morning and by the end of the week I hadn't heard from them so I called them to find out when my car would be done. They told me that there was more damage than the insurance estimator said and that they had submitted a claim to the insurance company to have the amount increased. The same exact thing happened when I took my car to a different body shop and they called me first before talking to my insurance company to let me know about the additional damage and then it sill only took 3 days to complete everyting. Burton's never called me to tell me about the additional damage they found and that they planned on calling my insurance company. My car ended up not being ready until the following Thursday. So, they ended up having my car for 8 and a half working days. I think the repairs should have been done a lot more quickly.
Description of Work: Had scratches and dents in side of car fixed from where I hit a pole.

 + -1 moreAnother vehicle backed into our Toyota Highlander, resulting in minor crumpling and scratches to the passenger-side front door. Burton's Collision inspected the damage and said the door would need to be replaced. In addition the new door, as well as the front quarter panel and rear door would all be painted to ensure a good color match. The end result was beautiful; a perfect color match. Steve Burton worked directly with the insurance company to agree on the repair cost up front and again during the process when it became clear that some of the inner workings in the door were also damaged an could not be transferred to the replacement door. Steve kept us apprised of the progress throughout the process. His team even cleaned the interior and exterior of the car before we picked it up. The only minor negative is that the job took several days longer than originally estimated, but we had use of a loaner car from his shop so the delay was manageable.
Description of Work: Replaced passenger-side front door and side mirror. Painted front quarter panel, new door and passenger-side rear door.

 + 0 moreBurton's Collision service and Steve Burton were excellent to work with, did a great job. My car looks like new, everything is aligned, the paint matches and looks like new. You would not know that the rear bumper cover had beed bashed up and pushed out of alignment with the rear quarter panel. Burton's was able to get an original equipment replacement part and sent back the first one they received when it arrived with a flaw in it. I would definitely use them again! Getting good service is so rare - i greatly appreciated their efforts and the work that they to restore my vehicle.
Description of Work: My car was struck in the rear right (passenger) corner damaging the bumper cover and pushing the bumper cover and right rear quarter panel out of alignment. The insurance company of the motorist that struck my car prepared an estimate with the possibility of amending the estimate if more damage was uncovered at the time that the repair shop removed the damaged parts and hidden damage was discovered. I expressed my concern to the insurance estimator that I would like "original equipment" parts if my car actually needed replacement parts. I had no experience with the shop that provided the insurance estimate and decided to check Angie's list for auto body repair shops that others have used and liked. I took my car to Burton's Collision and Auto Repair and met with Steve Burton, Assistant Manager of Burton's Collision. Burton's had worked in the past with the insurance company that would be covering the repair costs and they were also able to provide a rental car for my use while my car was being repaired. Once the damaged parts were removed, additional damage behind the bumper cover, as well as cracks on the back side of the bumper cover necessitated a followup with the insurance estimator was needed. Steve handled all of the followup with the insurance company's estimator as well as the need to extend the time I would need a rental vehicle. The repair originally was estimated to require 2 days to complete. With the additional damage and need to order parts, it took a week. Steve kept me informed about what was happening with my car. He was able to obtain an original equipment bumper cover rather than the after-market one the insurance company specified which made me happy. Although it took longer than originally anticipated, everything was handled very well by Steve and Burton's technicians did an excellent job of restoring my car to "like new." Everything was lined up as it originally had been, all parts, molding, trunk liner, mud flaps back in place. The paint job complete with clear coat that they did on the bumper cover and right rear quarter panel look great and match perfectly. I am very pleased with the service, their keeping me informed and their responsiveness to my questions and concerns. I would definitely use them again. Good

They gave a recommendation on the course of repair and helped me understand the implications of different part decisions. They worked hard to find a rear bumper to replace my after-market damaged one. Very fast work and extremely available on the phone whenever we needed to talk. Some of the nicest people I've had the pleasure of working with and the repair work is excellent and looks brand new.
Description of Work: Replaced gate door and damage to rear of a Jeep Wrangler. Bumper, Wheel Cover, Wheel and rear door were damaged, along with structural damage to mounting bracket and frame of door. Geico insurance claim covered repair.

These people really take pride in the quality of their work. After seeing how well they did on my car, a co-worker wanted to know who did the work so that Burton's could do some repair work for his car.

 + -1 moreMy car was old (1997), so I wanted the repairs that would make it safe -- didn't need the car to look like new. Steve listened to my requests, came up with some ideas on how to do the work and save money, and I authorized the work. He kept me informed by phone on the progress of the repair and checked for approval when he found that they would have to do more work (impact bar, separate turn signal lamp) than originally estimated. He shopped around for a less expensive bumper to help save money. When I picked up the car, it was incredibly clean -- Steve had washed it, vacuumed it out, and made it look better than it had in a long time. I'm very pleased with the quality of the work and Steve's responsiveness. I used the discount coupont Burton's had for Angie's List members and saved $100!

 + 0 moreSteve Burton is Awesome! Burton's Auto Collision has been around for 35 years!!! He took care of us and made us feel like we were part of the Burton family! Steve dealt with the insurance company, personally watched over our Minivan, gave us updates, and got us a Rental Van from Enterprise and had them deliver the replacement vehicle to the shop for us. You don't find this kind of service anywhere!!! He even came in to the shop on his day off and cleaned the interior of our van to make our car new brand new!! Burton's is open on Saturdays too... I challenge you to shop anywhere else and find the exact quality, price, compassion, professionalism, and work ethic that you will find at Burton's and with Steve Burton himself... plus they are open on Saturdays!!!!!!! I don't have time to drop off my car on weekdays because I am a teacher with a crazy school schedule.. I ran 30 minutes late to pick up my Van, called Steve, and he personally waited for me after they closed to get me my car. AMAZING!!!!!! I am not from Cincinnati and was totally afraid of someone ripping us off and performing lousy repairs!!! Rest Assured!!!!This was just the opposite at Burton's!!! Great Repairs!!! Quality Work!!! Description of Work: Repaired my 2001 ford Windstar passenger van. It had been damaged on the right rear fender. and sliding door. Burton's went above and beyond to touch up the paint perfectly and you cannot tell my van was ever damaged. It looks better than new!!! They also matched up the gold stripe around the base of my minivan and now the van looks flawless. Steve Burton even vacuumed the interior to make the car look completely new from the inside out. You just can't get this kind of Superior service anywhere else but Burton's. I am now a customer for life!!!!!!!!!!

 + -1 moreI came in to ask for an estimate for scratches in my bumper. They didn't charge me for an estimate, which I wondered if they might. They said to fix it good as new would cost $315. I asked if there was a down-and-dirty fix that would be cheaper, and Ricky said he could make the paint and touch it up by hand for $95, but it wouldn't look like new. I said fine. He asked when I could come in, and I said Thursday. I came in Thursday, and he got to work immediately. An hour later, he showed me the work, and it was good as new. Ricky is an artist. I asked for a sample of the leftover paint, and they gave it to me for no added cost.
Description of Work: Made paint, touched up some scratches in my bumper, buffed bumper. Can't emphasize enough how good these guys are in honesty, price, and quality.

 + -1 moreWas able to get vehicle in that afternoon for an estimate. I wasn't going to file an insurance claim if repairs were close to my deductible. Estimate was under my deductible, and Ricky even arranged for me to have a car to drive while mine was being worked on. He said to plan on it being there no more than 5 days. I dropped it off on Monday morning, they called me Wednesday to let me know it was ready. (2 days early.) The car looked great, they even detailed it for me. I've challenged friends who didn't know I had a repair to tell me what side it was on, and they can't tell for sure. I would definately use them again.

 + 1 moreAfter an unfortunate run in with debris on a roadway, I needed a new windshield, underbody tray, and the hood repaired and repainted on my Mazda 3. After dutifully checking Angie's list for recommended shops, I selected Burton's for the repair. Called in and spoke to Steve, who remained my contact throughout the process. I dropped the car off after hours, but Steve was still there and took the keys after I gave him a quick rundown of the issues. The estimator came to the shop and looked at it there. I did have to play mediator for one phone call as the insurance company had an internal issue between the rep and the estimator but that was the only contact needed. Steve called me with regular updates and kept me in the loop. A little over a week later (would have been shorter if not for the holiday weekend and the insurance company delays) car was ready to go. Results: perfectly matched paint with no sign of damage; new windshield, new underbody tray, spotlessly cleaned interior and exterior, and a very satisfied customer. One of the unusual circumstances where I would definitely use them again, but hope to never have to. Quite simply, these are the rare good guys in the automotive world who put their money and expertise into repairing cars and taking care of customers instead of fancy waiting rooms and glass counters. *Note: I cannot relay price/value information as I have no experience with autobody repair and did not get competitive bidding. Car repair was fully covered by insurance.

 + -1 moreAs stated by other reviewers, Burton's is superb, start to finish. They were able to take my car in sooner than other shops. They clearly have a good relationship with insurance companies, because when my company agreed to pay for a reconditioned bumper, Burton's was able to insist on a new bumper. They matched the red color -- trickier than I knew when buying the car at an end-of-season clearance price! They did some extra touch-ups of little scratches and dings from my son learning to drive and my dogs climbing in and out of the car, and a beautiful detailing. The car looked better when I picked it up than before it was in the accident. Talking with the owner made it clear that this is a small-business owner who takes pride in his work and intends to maintain a top-flight reputation.
Description of Work: Actual cost to insurance company: $4000+. Repair from a fender bender that crumpled the front hood and did other serious damage to my 2009 Volvo C30.

 + 0 moreProvided prompt, complete estimate, they were able to take the vehicle a couple days later, and completed the work a day early. Repaired the fender rather than replace it as originally quoted, saving us a few hundred dollars. Work done quickly and well, looks great, lower cost than estimate. A day later I found that the plastic wheel liner was not attached properly, fell down and dragged on road. I was able to attach it properly myself, I didn't bother to take it back, I'm sure they would have fixed it if I had. However I was disappointed that they didn't do that right. Overall the job was done well and the experience was great. They just need to pay attention to the details, and not forget to reattach everything correctly. ----- Took car back for them to check liner attachment, they added some connectors to secure the liner. All is well.

 + -1 moreI had engine problems, on my Ford Ranger, and had to have the engine replaced or rebuilt (or get a new vehicle). I talked with several shops in town. I was leaning towards having a new remanufactured engine installed. Then I talked to Duane Burton. He recommended having his shop rebuild the engine. They would fully tear it down, clean it and replace parts as necessary or appropriate. The cost of having a remanufactured engine installed versus having my engine rebuilt was very similar. I did some research on the internet on having a remanufactured engine put in versus having my engine rebuilt ... I decide I would be better off wiith having the engine rebuilt. Before I was going to spend that much money I visited several of the shops I talked with. Burton's was much more impressive than the others. As far as their ability to rebuld an engine - prior to agreeing to have this work done I visited the shop and Duane gave me a tour. I was very impressed by his machine shop. I decided to have the work done. It took about 3 weeks for the entire job. Duane periodically called to keep me posted on the progress. As part of the work, after the engine was rebuilt and installed he had his guys take it out for several different test runs to make sure everything was working correctly and nothing was leaking. When I picked it up I was extremely pleased. Everything worked out great. It was a lot of money to spend, but now my truck is literally better than when new.

 + -1 moreExcellent work as usual, they handled all the insurance hassles and when the project took weeks longer than expected due to the insurance adjuster going on vacation, and not authorizing a check to Burton's, they helped arrange for the insurer to pay for the rental car that I drove for several weeks while the insurer dithered. They even went so far as to release the truck to me before they were paid when I brought in another vehicle for repair, agreeing that as long as they had a vehicle to hold against the unpaid bill, they were OK. (I am a good customer, so that experience may not be typical.)
Description of Work: My pickup was hit by a semi tearing off a fender, wheel and bending the axle. (Unfortuntely tis was just a couple of months after I had the same fender and bumper repaired by Burton's after I backed into a tree.

 + -1 moreOne of the older passenger vans that our business uses had a door hinge break, leaving the door unable to close and slightly hanging. Because the hinges were welded on I knew it wouldn't be a simple job. I took it into Burton's where their lots were almost overflowing with the number of vehicles there. I figured it was going to be awhile before they could get to my van but I decided to keep it there because of their ratings on Angie's List. I dropped off the key and was told that they were extremely busy and it probably wouldn't even get looked at that day. Much to my surprise, I get a phone call from Duane Burton just a few hours later. He told me what he would have to do but also cautioned that the bottom hinge might have to be replaced as well although he would try to salvage it. First thing Friday morning, I get a call with the estimate, about $900 as long as it was only the top that needed to be replaced. I gave him the go-ahead, not knowing how long it would take to get the parts and do the work. Tuesday morning, Duane calls to tell me its done and the total is $912. I get another surprise when he shows me the work and it turns out he had to do the bottom hinge as well. In addition, I had originally asked him just to paint the hinges black to save $ but he went ahead and matched them to the van. All that extra effort and I was only charged the amount of the original estimate. This place definitely lived up to its A rating. They'll be getting my business from now on.

 + 3 moreOver the years I?ve had a couple of occasions to use a body shop. None of them wow?ed me with their level of service or impressed me with the quality of work. My experience with Burtons was FABULOUS! I was absolutely blown away by the level of service and the attention to detail they exhibited with my recent repair. Ricky, the gentleman that worked on my car called me weekly with a quick update on the status of the repair. They finished on time and on budget. When I picked the car up it looked brand new. They attended to every detail large and small. The car was detailed inside and out. Ricky proudly popped the hood and show me what appeared to be a factory fresh engine bay. It was as clean and as fresh as the outside of the car. The smell of fresh paint work was the only clue that the car had been in a mishap. They dealt with Allstate every step of the way, I never had to speak to the adjuster. I went to Burtons based on the Angie?s list feedback.. Trust me if you do the same, you won?t be disappointed.

 + -1 moreGeico forced me to get an estimate at True Quality Collision, where Geico rep had an office (!). Their estimate was $2273. I saw Burton's on Angie's List was highly rated, so I went to them for an estimate. They said True Quality's estimate was for an incomplete repair, that that was what some insurance companies do on purpose, so Burton's had to bargain with Geico to explain the additional work that needed to be done over True Quality's estimate. Customer service at Burton's were impressive: they did everything to get to me quickly and get me on my way. Very positive impression during my visit to drop off car and pick it up. Burton's loaned me a 2004 Camry in great condition for $2 for the duration of my repair job. The job was done when Burton's said it would be, and you can't tell there was an accident; even the paint is perfectly matched. Despite the low-ball estimate from True Quality, Burton's charge to Geico was only $2366.75, my cost was my $500 deductible minus a $100 Angie's list coupon.
