Buck Brothers Roofing-Jeremy Buck is an independent roofer and a sub-contractor who claims to have worked for various roofing companies around the city.A family member recommended Jeremy to me since he had recently replaced their roof with satisfactory results. I was having a leak issue and contacted Jeremy to pin point my problem. He arrived in a timely and professional manner and we went on the roof to investigate the problem. He showed me where several of my shingles were lifting easily off the roof apparently an aftermath of the windstorm in September.He mentioned that my insurance should cover the roof and gave me his number so they could contact him directly if they had any questions. I contacted my insurance and an estimator came out and agreed with Jeremy that the roof was damaged and needed to be replaced. The insurance company issued a check, Jeremy brought samples out, we choose the new shingles and the crew showed up and finished the job in a timely and professional manner. THEN my front porch roof started leaking where there had never been a problem before. I called Jeremy to report this new leak and he told me he would be out in a few days.I called several more times and needless to say he never showed up and future phone calls were picked up by his voicemail. I had another roofer look at my problem and he stated that the front porch roof has a low grade pitch but if they had put a certain roofing material under the shingles it would have sealed the area.I also recalled that when they were loading the shingles on the roof they used the porch area rather than the roof itself. The second roofer confirmed that was not a good loading area since the porch is a light weight area. Once we examined the boards you could actually see where they had bowed under the weight of the men carrying the shingles. Mistakes will happen and the roof was covered by insurance but now I have a new problem to contend with since rain seeping through the boards will eventually rot the wood. The roof area of the previous leak seems to have been fixed. The flat area rubber roof already has screw heads appearing under the rubber material which leads me to believe this job will need to be replaced in the future.Any business or individual who does not stand behind their work or mistakes doesn't deserve the job in the first place. Mr. Buck had the potential to be a decent roofer but his neglect to stand behind his work and correct his wrongs inspires me to write this review and not recommend him for any future roofing needs as a sub-contractor or independent.
