Mike seems to be a nice guy, but overall, the service was terrible. I gave him too many opportunities, and I should have learned my lesson after the first issue. I paid for a winterization a couple years ago through the Angie's List Big Deal I purchased. I contacted him to set up a time for him to come out and do the work. My wife and I both work, and the sprinkler controls are in the garage, so we needed to arrange to be home. First, he was totally late by over 1 1/2 hours, which is a problem because we had to be back at work. When he got to the house late, he said that his hoses were stolen from his truck overnight, so he had to use my hoses to winterize the system. I should have learned my lesson and not used him at that point, but I used him again for Spring activation. After he did the Spring activation that year, I contacted him for Winterization again for the following year. At that point he tells me that he never billed me from 8-9 months prior to do the Spring activation. I then had to go through my records to see if I paid him-- something I shouldn't have to do. I couldn't find a cancelled check, so I just paid him for it. Pretty unbelievable that he can stay in business forgetting to invoice customers. I still didn't learn my lesson, so I tried contacting him for Spring activation the following year. I called and left him a message, and called, and called, and called....but no answer, and no return call back. After 2-3 weeks, he finally calls me back and sets up a time to do the Spring activation this year. Again, I take time off of work to meet him, and this time he's a no-show. I tried calling him several times to see where he was, and he didn't answer my call. He really screwed me because not only did I miss work to have him not show up, but I also had to get my backflow device inspected for Hamilton County the next day, and they can't inspect the system if it hasn't been activated yet. I had to scramble to have someone else activate the system. Shame on me for giving him so many opportunities. I will never use BriteGREEN again.

I don't understand Britegreen's business model: Never answer the phone and never return phone calls. It took weeks of repeated calls to get a call back from Mike. He came out and did the work (I thought) only to discover that he had not done the repairs and adjustments that he said he did. I have been calling for weeks and left many messages, asking him to return to do it correctly since I paid for the work. He has never returned a single call. This company at best, is sloppy and unresponsive. At worst, dishonest.

I had to make many, many calls before he finally returned my voice mail messages. When I received his fall invoice he also charged me for turning the system on in the spring. My husband turns it on in the spring and I told Mike this. He insisted that he had done it. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and paid it, saying that I expect to get an invoice after work is done, not 8 months later. He did not fix the broken sprinkler heads as requested. Terrible service.

They were fine. The experience was good. The only problem I had was they did not clean the line out of my pond and one of my pipes broke. I didn't mind telling him.

I used Mike from a promotion last year. This year, he emailed me about doing again, which was great. No chasing down someone to do the work. He arrived on time and completed the job quickly.

Very good service. Back flow preventer re-installed, Irrigation system started up, sprinkler heads adjusted as needed and a broken sprinkler head replaced.

I selected this vendor because of the good ratings that were posted on Angie's List so I was very surprised by the poor customer service that we received.
While my husband and I were pleased with the irrigation system installation that occurred in October 2011, we were appauled by Mike's total lack of follow-up on numerous telephone calls, text messages and emails. After the irritation system was installed, we were planning to have some yard lighting installed. A week after we placed our order for the lights, we changed our minds about having lights installed. We notified Mike and were willing to take a loss on our 50% down payment if there was any type of cancellation or restocking fees. Mike claimed he was trying to find another customer to purchase the lights, but failed to communicate any updates. After a number of broken promises from him, I finally had to threaten to issue a negative report on Angie's List and take legal action before he refunded our money in two separate checks over several weeks in December.
Mike's excuses for the numerous delays in follow up were attributed to him being busy, a two-man shop and having to service other customers. "Unacceptable." And, I scolded him on his lack of professionalism and the importance of customer service should he ever want to create repeat business and be successful at running his own business.
Very nice guy, but does not have the resources to provide the customer service you'd expect to receive for $4,435.00 investement. I guess in the Spring I will have to locate another vendor to service my brand new irritation system.

I bought the Angie's List Big Deal so I don't remember exactly what I paid. I had my sprinkler system winterized and he did a great job. He was prompt and professional. I will use him again in the spring.

Overall, we are extremely happy with Mike and briteGreen. The quality of their work is as good/better than the people we previously used, and they are cheaper. Also, the honesty shown by Mike with regards to the valve problem mentioned above is something we didn't always see with our previous provider. The only reason we couldn't give them an "A" for punctuality was that they twice delayed our spring start up. They called ahead to reschedule both times and were very apologetic as it seems they got backed up with some emergency work.

We were impressed with the work ethic of the men and their attempts to minimize disruption to our lawn. Where holes had to be dug, sod was removed first and then later put back in place. When they finished, they tamped down the ground where pipe had been laid, made attempts to clean up the lawn as good as possible and took the time to thoroughly explain the system. They completed the work per their estimated timetable, in spite of hitting some problems with having to remove large stones in several areas of the property. Would hire them again for this type work without hesitation.

We met Mike of briteGREEN initially when he installed exterior landscape lighting for us, and were so pleased we now use him for irrigation, snow removal, and lawn and landscape maintenance. He is hard-working, professional and can always be trusted to do the job well.
