Just finished painting outside of our home in hyde park. We are beyond happy with Bill and his team. They were there when they said they would be, maintained a clean work site and kept me updated throughout the entire scope of work. Would highly recommend.

They did a good job, any requests I made they followed through with. They gave me a reasonable price. They gave me a2 year guarantee on any work that needed to be addressed, I called 2 times this summer to repair and they never came back out.

He was real good, and put down sheets over the carpeting. He came back the next day to finish touch ups. He does a nice job.

I am going to have him come back and do it again. I keep finding things that should have been done and the paint is pealing. It has only been a month and a half. I have used him before and I wasn't completely happy but I was in a hurry and just needed it done. I didn't want to break in a new person and he promised he would do a good job. He power sprayed it and told me he would sand it but he didn't. I never should have paid for it.

I've already had to start repainting. They said it would be a 20 year paint job. We started repainting after 2 years. They painted, they didn't prime, they painted over rust with enamel and it started to bubble right away. They did splatter white paint on the brown paint and vice versa and they came back to touch it up right away. They put down tarps and they got paint all over everything. I'd never use them again.

Very happy with Bill's service on my small outdoor painting job. I had a quote for $500 worth of work which I thought was very fair considering the three quotes I received. On the morning of the job I asked Bill to add a small awning to the paint job and he agreed to do so at a very fair price/adder. I also had Bill look at some inside plastering work and he gave me some advice and help trouble shooting where the leak is coming from. You bet I will use him for this project!

They are professional. They do wonderful work. They clean up after themselves. They show up on time. They fit you into your schedule when you have an emergency. They really take care of you and are very helpful. Their prices are very reasonable. They do the job very well and very fast. Everything they have painted looks beautiful. We have been very happy with the jobs.

Bill s Painting and Carpentry came out and gave me an estimate and stayed within the estimate. They did a wonderful job in painting my house. He was referred to us by a neighbor. He kept paint off the brick and he cleaned up after himself. After doing such a good job on the outside I had him do the inside. I would definitely use him again.

His workmen told me he was more concerned with getting everything done quickly, than doing a good job. They splattered paint everywhere. They got it on my piano and furniture. He apologized to me. The men were not very professional.

Customer service? Mr. Charles provided the estimate and then disappeared. Only showing up on site when we insisted he see the poor work being done and appearing quite quickly when we disputed the bill. Did not treat the home like it was one of theirs with either the work or the cleanliness Crew only cleaned up at the conclusion of the work instead of everyday. Tracking trail of drywall from upstairs through kitchen and down hallway to bathroom, each day. Utilized bedroom as workshop instead of cutting molding, etc., outside (weather was not an issue) or at a minimum in our garage. Leaving mess on carpeting, this now needs to be professionally cleaned at our expense. 3 day job lasted 5 days. Job consisted of small closet and small bathroom, 2-4 people on site, but still took far too long. Took an aggressive attitude during our conversation about the bill and our desire to not pay in full due to the poor workmanship outlined below. Including loudly threatening to put a lien on the house in front of my 8 month pregnant wife, adding unnecessary stress to her pregnancy; when in fact court and lawyer fees alone would have been close to the small $2,400 bill. What substantiation does Bill s Painting & Carpentry have to claim, Cincinnati s Best on the side of their vans? Have they been named that in any news publications or official polls? Seems to be misleading marketing. Attempted to work quickly versus conscientiously trying to finish the job instead of providing quality workmanship which led to many errors that could have been prevented. Drywall: forgot to cut out space for ceiling light over the shower, dry walled right over it. Had to ask for more screws to be added into drywall at lower level, as if they were too lazy to bend down and screw it in. Same with molding. Despite being told by both of us and my wife s father that an edging on the tile will be added, they painted up to the tile and created more work for the tile installer later. Missed significant holes that we had asked to be patched before being painted. Some of the metal corner beads are not hidden under plaster. Drywall work around windows is not smooth and looks messy and unfinished Did not appropriately secure the drywall to the ceiling over the shower stating there was no framing to hold it. Yet, we did it ourselves this weekend. Clearly, they did not mark anything prior to attempting to drywall. Molding: asked three days in a row for the molding to line-up correctly and to match existing. It still does not line up, nor does it match when in fact our molding is the standard offered at Home Depot. We did not initially ask for this service, Mr. Charles offered it to us so we assumed his people had done it before. Painting: Dripped paint on new tile floor AND shower. Painted edges along molding and ceiling were not professional. We have done better in other rooms painting it ourselves.

Great. They completed the job. Home is beautiful. They took great care to make things right. Bill himself is responsive and reachable as is his Office Manager Gail. His crew is just outstanding...many of the folks we had on our project 4 years earlier (stability). Our 108 year old home looks like it might have looked back then. The project took time...lots of paint to strip off trim and entry. And, they had to paint the brick three times. No surprise added costs either.

Called 4 different painters/carpenters for bids. Bill Charles was the middle bid. I called his references, which were all very commendable. He gave me a reasonable start date and said the job would take 3-4 days. The job took three days of painting and one day of prep/power washing. The crew was polite and neat. Cleaned up each day.

I called Bill in 2004 after a ''too good to be true'' house painter walked away from the job with $1000 deposit after showing up randomly for a few hours at a time over several weeks. My house was less than 1/3 finished for months while I tried to track the guy down. He completely disappeared. Anyway, all of Bill's guys were great. He sent out a team of at least 4 guys, who completed all of the work politely and very well over the course of three days. They reglazed every window and really worked quickly to get the project done. They cleaned up everything before they left each day. I would happily use them again.
