They were very nice when I went in and apparently I chose a carpeting that nobody wanted. They said they would give me a good deal. I was pretty adamant we needed to do it quickly because of the tenant. I left a deposit and arranged for them to come on a Saturday. This happened to my husband, but we received a call on Friday saying they would be there on Saturday at the first appointment window at, like, 9 o'clock. At noon, nobody had arrived, so we kind of called and at 2 o'clock the guy said he would be there really soon. Then at around 4:15 the guy called back and he sounded a little funny. He said that he had run out of gas and would my husband, maybe, come and bring him some money to help him out so that he could get here. My husband was fairly sure he had been drinking. My husband told him he did not need to come right now. We were going to give them another chance so I took a day off and called on a Monday. They said 9 o'clock, so they could go back into the office, and noon. We got a call somewhere around 7 o'clock at night and they said they were not going to come. So I called Big Bob's and I said I did not want this carpet. They were giving me kind of a hard time and said I would lose my deposit. So I called American Express and after hearing what I had to say got me my deposit back. It turned out this great price I had apparently gotten for this Forest Green molded carpet was actually sort of high for a remnant. Not everybody was awful, but they were pretty much awful.
The time frame provided for ordering and installing the carpet was exactly what they said it would be. I will say that the installers were quite late for both the measuring and the installation and they were not the most professional installers I've dealt with, however they did a good job on the actual work.
I will go to Big Bob's again for future carpeting needs.
The biggest problem, however, was with the vinyl flooring. These people know nothing about vinyl, despite their assurances to the contrary. The floor was not properly leveled or prepared, the vinyl does not adhere well, bubbles appeared, and we had them come back repeatedly before finally accepting that it was not going to get any better. DO NOT USE them for vinyl flooring.
