They are great. It is an old-time, family-owned for generations, hardware store. It is a place where they know you by name and because it is in a neighborhood with a lot of old buildings, I can go in there with some of the most bizarre things. They will get on the internet with me and help me find things. If they do not have it in the store, they will hunt it down and order it for me. They are also good at just mentioning things. One time I went in there when we were having a really bad ice storm and I walked past Mr. Beck and said hi. He said that the ice storm was coming and asked if I had enough candles and flashlights because the electricity was going to go out. I asked why and he said because the trees were going to fall. I went home and cleared all the cars from the street and in the night a big oak fell on the street but did not hit any cars. If Mr. Beck had not said something to me, I never would have thought of it. They also have really good supplies for treating bedbugs and that is a real problem here.
