+ -1 moreSteve and his crew did an awesome job of helping us trim/prune our out-of-control very tall trees and bushes! He was very respectful of the amount of money we were able to put toward this job and suggested many ways for us to get the most for our money with his service. We'll be calling him again next year! We have a large yard with MANY big trees and it is nice to know a good company that we can rely on for help!

+ -1 moreAgain - - they did not perform the service for me, but did so in the yard next to mine. In addition to blocking our driveway, parking on our lawn and trying to use our driveway to remove all the tree trunks and branches, they also allowed large sections of trees to roll into our fence. Given that they aren't bonded, I was extremely worried that they would damage our yard, driveway and fence and then we would be stuck with paying for the repairs for work we didn't commission. They may have been cheap for our neighbors to use, but they were very unprofessional.
Description of Work: Beaver tree service did not perform work for me, but removed multiple trees in the neighbor's yard adjacent to mine. During that time they drove over my yard, blocked my drive way multiple times for hours at a time such that I could not remove my car or return to my house. They tried to use my driveway to drag tree trunks out of my neighbor's yard with a bobcat to the grinder that was parked partially on my lawn and blocking my driveway. I told them that I didn't want them to damage my yard and my driveway and they said they'd put down cardboard to minimize the damage (what a joke!). My neighbors may have liked them because they were the low ball bidder and they didn't want to damage my neighbor's yard - - instead they wanted to damage my yard and driveway and park such that we couldn't get our mail, and we couldn't leave or enter our driveway. A very unprofessional group that has no insurance and isn't bonded.

+ -1 moreThey run a very matter of fact business. Once you agree on an estimate, they come out and do the work and they're gone before you know it. I have always had good experiences with them and I would recommend them to anyone. They can be hard to get a hold of, but it usually didn't take more than a day or so for someone to call me back.
Description of Work: They cut down four trees in our back yard. The also removed the debris and cleaned up very well. It was like the trees were never there.

+ -1 moreI left a phone message on Friday afternoon and had not gotten a reply 2 weeks later. I left a second phone message saying there had been no response to my first one and got a call back the next week. The person I spoke to said that 5 people take their calls and sometimes response is inconsistant. He said he would be there Saturday afternoon to give me an estimate. I asked him to call my cell phone to make sure I was home. He never showed up and did not call. I hung around all afternoon. I plan to try someone else.
Description of Work: Beaver has done tree major (2 days on site) work for me in the past and I have been very satisfied. Recently, I needed some trimming in my front and side yards.

+ 0 moreThey did a wonderful job. They chopped it up, brought it up to the front and take it away. It was quite fair. I had them years ago. They don't make a fuss about something. They do it, get it over with and the next thing you know it's done. I had a huge beautiful tree when I first moved in and it was covering the whole house. I called a company and it was a big to do to remove the stump. I called Beaver and the next thing I know it's gone. They are that good.

+ 0 moreI left my second voicemail on Friday, August 12th (six days ago). I had called them based on a recommendation from a neighbor. I have never received any type of call back from them. If they were too busy to take on the jobs, I can accept that. It bothered me that they weren’t even willing to respond.
Description of Work: I called Beaver Tree Services to give me an estimate on two jobs, 1) a tree trimming and 2) a tree and stump removal.

+ -1 moreThey came out and provided a prompt estimate and did the work as promised in one day. I was surprised that it went so smoothly and quickly. It was a huge tree and in a difficult place to remove. i have used them before and I will use and recommend them again in the future. They are much more reasonable than other providers in my area,
Description of Work: They removed a large tree that had fallen against my house. This required the use of a crane and working on the roof. It was not a simple job. They cleaned up all of the debrie and I could not tell any damage getting this huge tree out. I was very pleased.

+ -1 moreThey removed a large tree and took down some limbs on another large tree. They wired a couple of large branches on this other tree and did a lot of trimming too. Their service was very good, and the price was very competitive. They had done some work for a neighbor actually. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

+ -1 moreWe talked on the phone one day and they came out and provided a bid immediately. I called them back to add a few additional requests and they started and finished the next day! Beautiful work - above and beyond! My calls were always returned if I had to leave a message. I have done work with them off and on through the years. Easy to work with!!
Description of Work: Please note that the original bid was less by about $200.00 (including tax) - I asked for additional work to be done which amounted to an additional hour for a team of three. Two trees were removed and the stumps were ground down so that grass/plants could be planted. One tree was in the front - the other was in the back (fenced in yard). My larger trees were pruned back to reduce the weight on the limbs (hanging over my house) I asked that they also cut the honey suckle away from the fence and remove the large limbs and piles of brush that had been accumulating for several years.

+ -1 moreThey came and gave me an estimate. They sent a contract. The person who was supposed to give me a call never called. They never came either. I had a major problem with them. I just asked them to return my contract. In the past we’ve had no problems with them, though.

+ -1 moreFor the most part, both jobs went well. They were very efficient - quick to get on site and quick to do the work. With the second job, they left some divots in the yard (while working to remove the big tree) and it appeared that some of the stones from our retaining wall along the driveway were knocked loose as well (most likely from equipment - its a skinny drive in some locations).
Description of Work: We've had them perform 2 jobs at our house. First job included tree clearing, trimming and cabling while the second job involved mainly tree clearing (200 yr old dead beech).

+ -1 moreI had a great experience with the company. They were to come one day and had some trouble and called and told me they would not be there that day. Came the next day. Remove tree, stup and clean up. Some wood chips were left but for the size of the tree I could handle the wood chips. I would use them again.

+ -1 moreThe complete tree removal was nixed by my neighbor because the tree is primarily on their property line. I was given the OK to get the limbs over my property pruned (which you can do legally anyway), so I called B***** back to see about getting a new estimate. After leaving two voicemails and not hearing back (as of now it's a week later) I decided to go with another company. Maybe B***** didn't want the business; I don't know.
Description of Work: Received an estimate to have one tree pruned (3 to 4 limbs) and one tree to be removed completely.

+ -1 moreSteve came for estimate in early June. Indicated would need ground to be dry to get a truck with bucket in yard to prune and remove trees. I accepted estimate and he said he would call the day before doing the work. Steve did the tree feeding on different day than removal.Weather did not cooperate until August. He called on Thursday and did work on Friday. No one was home while work was done. When we arrived it looked like no one had been in the yard, except all the work was done. All debris was removed. They did a great job.
Description of Work: fed 2 large trees with 300 gallons of fertilizer pressured into ground also removed daed branches from the same 2 trees. removed 30-35' spruce and ground stump. cut and removed limbs from mulberry tree. removed and ground stump from large old vibernum with many trunks. removed and ground stump of 15' clump birch

+ -1 moreThey were very responsive in coming out to give me the estimate, though it was a sloooooow start. Once I signed the contract, as the remains of Hurricane Hugo came through a week later, which caused me to get bumped from their schedule for a few months(though I'm sure this was the case with most tree services in the area). However, once they came, they did an amazing job! They did it all in a day and cleaned up so well I didn't even immediately realize that they'd been by to cut down the trees. Charlie has been my main contact throughout and has been very helpful.
Description of Work: Took down an 80-foot, dying Silver Maple in my backyard and ground the stump. Took out a couple smaller trees in my front and ground the stump of one of those as well.
