We spent a good bit of time getting advice and explanation of the various issues and questions we had with our trees. They gave us an estimate for services which we are considering. The fellow was extremely helpful, and gave us instruction as well on a few items we could take care of ourselves to help save us some money. Very helpful and informative.

I really am unable to comment on their actual service as I never got to experience it. I experienced their lack of service.Just had a very frustrating and un-understandable respond from this company. I liked what they had to say about their business on Angie's List and they had good reviews. I scheduled them to come look at my tree for an estimate on 10/17. I had to reschedule due to a death in my family. I made a 9 am appointment with them on the following week (10/24) so I could still make it to work. By 9:15 no one had come, so I called and was told they had the appointment scheduled for 9:30. and the arborist was on the way.I did my best to wait but, by 9:50 still no one had come and no call to say hey i'm going to be late. I called back to let them know I had to leave for work. I rescheduled for the same time the next week, 10/31 and again no one showed up. Again I called and was told the arborist had come on 10/24 after I had already left for work. I was told he did an evaluation of the work and he told a staff member he would call and share his thoughts with me. He never did call. I guess he was supposed to call me before the appointment I had re-scheduled on 10/31. No one bothered to call me to tell me no one was coming to meet me as I expected on the morning of 10/31 and no one bothered to call and tell me I was going to get a phone call instead of the appointment we scheduled. To date I have never heard anything. I have been gathering estimates from other companies instead. It was very frustrating as they looked like they cared about their work. I need some tree care done and am ready to pay for it. I do not understand their lack of follow through, lack of consideration for a potential client's time and their lack of service oriented customer care. It was all a puzzling and frustrating experience.

They set up an appointment to give an estimate on my trees, then didn't show up. We rescheduled and they didn't show up (although I did pass their truck on my street, parked in front of the neighbor's house - if they were here for me or the neighbor I do not know). When followed up with, by social media, they finally set an appointment over email which they kept... but then they never sent the promised estimate. I can only assume that appointment was kept because I contacted their national office over social media, and that some initial assumption was made based on either my home's location or appearance as to what I could afford as a customer... I really don't know if I would use them again or not, as they haven't really given me the opportunity to avail myself of their services yet...

There was an Angie's List coupon for a free consult. I called the office and made an appointment for the arborist to come to my house. After he was an hour late I called the office and was told that he had a family emergency and had to leave early. Things like this happen. The office person apologized and I made another appointment. After the arborist was an hour late the second time I called and no one was in the office. However, the recording gave a cell number for the arborist so I called and got his voicemail. In a calm tone I told him that he missed the appointment a second time and asked him to call me back. He never did. I figure 3 strikes and you are out. I have no idea whether they are good at what they do.

Very high quality tree service that explains the reasons for their recommendations and provides the services independently without having to schedule an appointment with me needing to be home.

Their clean up was a fantastic job. They were prompt. The personnel were very friendly and had a professional job.

Bartlett did what they contracted to do in a timely and professional manner. They also gave me options on ash trees and other trees on my property.

We were extremely pleased with the results and the clean up.

Overall, I was pleased with the service. Their staff was extremely knowledgeable and I felt like they did the work with excellence. However, it was difficult to get in touch with their staff to schedule the service and when I did, the work didnt actually get done for another 2-3 weeks after that. Not a great customer service experience up until the work got done (which was executed very well and professionally).

Mr. Lake is experienced, knowledgeable and clearly quite passionate about trees. He is available for consult by e-mail if I have any questions (though sometimes it takes a few days). I don't have to be there when they do the treatments and he checks up on my trees himself when he is in the area. Highly recommend this company

Received a quote. It was a little higher than we would like to spend at this point in time but will definitely keep them in mind in the future.

work went smoothly. very professional and efficient process. work force very friendly and informative. the person with whom I scheduled the work came out to assure it was progressing smoothly. no damage done to anything. price was as estimated. a very efficient job.

While the serviceman was examining the work to be done for the estimate, I was able to talk over alternatives with him and came up with a plan that best served my needs. Rather than just give me an estimated cost at that time, the estimator took notes, and, later that day, sent me an email containing a full description of the work to be done and the cost of that work. On the day of the service, the workmen showed up promptly at 8:30 AM. By the end of the day, the trees and branches were gone, the two stumps ground down, and all debris all cleaned up. The yard looked great. The workmen were clearly professonals in the quality and efficiency in which they worked. They were careful to bring the trees and branches down so that there was no damage to my property or my neighbor's property. They put orange cones around the work area for safety. All of my communications with the company whether it be with the estimator, the office, or the workmen was very pleasant and courteous.

Called the company on a Tuesday morning and Steve Lake came to the house that same afternoon. After evaluating the health (or lack of) of my Pin Oak tree we looked at other trees on the property. He seemed as concerned as I was about the shape and proximity to the house of a Mulberry tree and of a "weedy" overgrown Japanese Maple tree. He was very clear and explicit in showing me signs of bad health and condition of the Pin Oak. Steve gave me a choice between spending several hundred dollars (or more) on having a soil analysis done follwed by some special feeding and root work or removing the tree. He recommended removal of the Pin Oak and Mulberry and I agreed. After asking me what I wanted to do with my Japanese Maple he recommended it be thinned and shaped. Ten minutes later he gave me an estimate and I agreed to have the work performed. Three days later two men and their truck arrived early and worked a half day until they were finished pruning, cutting and cleaning. They did an excellent job with shaping and pruning the Japanese Maple. The overall cost - I felt - was on the high side, but I trusted this company to do a good job pruning that Japanese Maple. I could have hired some local tree removal company to take away the Pin Oak and Mulberry for much less (for about $400) but would not feel comfortable about having them work on the Japanese Maple. I'm very satisfied.

Overall they showed up on time and performed services for the estimated amounts. I was supposed to get confirmation calls before each service was performed. Received one call an hour before service and received no call before the second. The original consultant I dealt with seemed rushed and not particularly responsive to my questions.

They were very reliable. They did what they said they would do, and finished when they said they would also. We would use them again soon.

We have used Bartlett Tree Experts for several years in our condo complex. Their work is always prompt and professional.

My overall experience with them went very well. The woman who came was very knowledgeable and concerned about doing the job the way we wanted it. She asked us before she did anything and even asked before pulling her truck into our driveway.

It was very good. They did the work as promised. It was on time in the amount that they had quoted.

Promptly received an estimate, and a week later, a crew arrived to perform the service. They also suggested some pruning, but said that it shouldn't be done this time of year.

Steve Lake responded promptly with an estimate. The crew was able to complete the work in less than 1/2 a day and the clean-up was excellent.

THE ESTIMATOR WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE, COURTEOUS, AND TOOK CARE TO ENSURE THAT EACH OF MY REQUESTS WAS ADDRESSED. HE OFFERED SUGGESTIONS BUT DID NOT PUSH UNNECESSARY ITEMS ON ME. THE WORK CREW WAS VERY EFFICIENT, POLITE, AND TOOK CARE TO DISCUSS JOB DETAILS WITH ME. THEY LEFT OUR YARD CLEAN AND LOOKING GREAT. THE TREES AND BUSHES ARE IN GREAT SHAPE NOW. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT I HAD TO CALL A COUPLE TIMES TO GET THE ESTIMATOR TO COME OUT, AND THEN A COUPLE TIMES TO GET OUR APPOINTMENT SCHEDULED.

ESTIMATE WAS COMPETITIVE, THEY WERE ON TIME, AND THEY DID A GOOD JOB.

DOING GREAT WORK IN HELPING US KEEP SOME VERY IMPORTANT TREES ALIVE AFTER WE DISCOVERED PEST. THEY USE AN UNUSUAL PROCESS OF REMOVING SOIL VIA FORCED AIR, AND THEN REPLACING WITH HIGH QUALITY SOIL. VERY PERSONABLE WORKMEN. STEVE HALL HAS BEEN EXTREMELY RESPONSIVE AND PROMPT IN COMING OUT TO REVIEW ANY ISSUES I BRING TO HIM. THEY HAVE A PEST RESEARCH LABORATORY.
