"Thanks for your review! I appreciate your business!"
Andrew's Lawn Care provides a whole bundle approach. He helps out with the grass cutting, spring cleaning as well as fertilizing the lawn as and when needed which is good because again you are not locked into paying a grass fertilization company a set number of lawn treatments especially when the grass is nice and green. Plus you have one person not only nurturing your lawn but also trimming it.
His work is very nice. You can see in his lawn work that he does this out of true passion that he has in lawn care. He always cleans up the property well after the services are done. Andrew also went out of his way to pick up some extra top soil for me even though initially I had promised him that I would take care of it. However with me leaving out of town made it inconvenient for me. However without any hesitation Andrew stepped in an offered to pick up the top soil.
His prices are very fair and honest. He truly saved me a lot of money for spring cleaning work in comparison to another lawn care company from whom I had obtained a quote. Do try Andrew's Lawn Care. You shall not regret it but will be happy that you were able to find a reliable good honest person who looks out for his customer's needs.
"Thank you for your kind words and taking the time to provide a detailed review!"
"Before addressing this specific issue, I must point out that I began providing mowing services for this customer on 6/5/12 and my company has always struggled to receive payment from him. I had to contact this customer every month about late payment because he would never pay his invoices within the 30 day period I provide. We even mowed his lawn once in August, which wasn’t paid until 3 months later. In September, this customer requested an estimate for some lawn renovation. My estimate stated exactly "Add top soil to area around deck posts, aerate lawn, apply grass seed to applicable areas, and apply straw to applicable areas. Estimated Price: $350.00." On 10/1/12, we proceeded with the work. I, the owner, was on-site and helped perform the work. We installed a truckload of top soil, aerated the lawn, over-seeded the entire lawn with 30 lbs of grass seed, and applied straw to the top soil. The customer called me later that day. He told me that he was unhappy with our work and did so using offensive language. It was never really made clear to me what he was unhappy about or what he expected from us. I apologized and I told him that there must have been some misunderstanding about the project and I offered to come back out there to try to remedy the situation. He refused my offer using expletives. At that point, I knew that there was nothing further I could do. I sent him his invoice on 10/3/12. The quoted price for the project was $350. Because of his history of late payment and dissatisfaction of the work, I knew that I was going to have an issue collecting payment on this project. So I decided to give him a 50% discount and charged him only $175. He did not ask for this discount. I voluntarily gave it to him. I was hoping that by offering the discount, I could at least recoup the costs of materials/labor of the project instead of getting nothing at all. I believe this was very generous, especially since he wouldn’t even allow us to try to fix whatever he was unhappy with. I offered the discount ONLY as an attempt to receive some compensation. I DID NOT do it as any type of admission of failing to provide the work promised. Because of his history of late payment and his disrespectful/offensive manner in which he communicated his complaint to me, I also included a note on his invoice that said "I believe it would be in our best interests if you find another company to provide your lawn care services." After 30 days, I still had not received payment. At this point, he owed me for not only the $175 for the project, but for 4 mowing services that we had previously provided. Therefore, he is trying to avoid paying for the project AND for the 4 mowings, which are not even in dispute. It is my opinion that this customer is trying to take advantage of my company and receive free service. I had no other option except to threaten to file a lien in order to collect from this customer. In his review, the customer states that I threatened to file a lien if it was not paid in full. This is completely FALSE. I gave him a 50% discount on this project and he already owed me for 4 mowing services! I don't believe the reputation of my company should be affected in a negative way when we provided the services requested, provided a 50% discount, and wasn't even given the option to address the customer's complaint. I believe my company went "above and beyond" to address the issue and we shouldn't be punished for that."
