His methods are based roughly on the Kohler method, modified by his own experience. When you don't know where else to turn, go to John, obey his advice, trust the process, and your dog will be calm, happy, and obedient once you've been clear and consistent about his place in the pack. The only way you and your dog will fail is if you don't consistently follow John's advice. If you aren't serious about being aware of and in control of your dog's environment at all times, especially in the beginning, then you will present a confusing and inconsistent message to your dog which isn't fair to you or the dog.
