Come to us for your computer, TV, video, audio, and electronic service needs. When we throw away an electronics product, it goes into a landfill and rusts. We then purchase new products, which are made more cheaply, and our money goes to Korea and China. An alternative is to have our older products repaired. A repair might cost as much or even more than a cheaper replacement, but often the older units are built better - more ruggedly constructed and able to be serviced. Dollars spent locally on repairing older products provide jobs here and now in Cincinnati, and our money stays in the U.S.A., instead of going to foreign lands.
Repair service and sales of new and used electronic equipment, as well as video games. We offer complete computer systems, audio such as home stereo, home theater, including computers and computer accessories, musical instrument and professional gear, television, video equipment such as DVD and VCR, virus removal and computer upgrades.

"Mrs. [Member Name Removed], we did our normal (hopefully excellent) job on your computer, and replaced your failed hard drive with a "state of the art" (relatively expensive) SSD. We charged our normal rates, and spent an additional 1.5 hours at your home (with 2 people working) to help clean and organize your computer office area. Sadly, within a few days, you apparently set a password on your Microsoft account that we couldn't recover, and you couldn't remember it either, so I had your computer picked up and brought back to our shop, and reloaded Windows and got around the password problem for you. At no charge... but... then it happened again ! We were unable to reset your password, and you didn't remember it. I offered to do the pickup / delivery for 1/2 price ($65 with tax... not a lot more money), but each time we had an appointment set, you cancelled it. I'm sorry that you weren't happy with our service."
"At A-HI Computers & Electronics in Norwood, we follow a proscribed methodology to protect customer data and to restore proper operation to infected or malfunctioning computers. Part of this formula is the installation of an antivirus program that is "top rated" by Consumer Reports magazine. We also install other utilities that often make computers run better than new. If a customer prefers not to have these programs running to protect and enhance his computer, he can easily remove them. Alternatively, we would be happy to remove them upon request at no additional charge. If the Member is dissatisfied with our work, we are willing and usually are able to correct perceived problems and make the computer work in the way she expects. Part of being able to use a computer is being open to learning how to use the software tools that help keep your computer clean of malware from the internet. We provide some assistance either over the phone, or in person, to our customers who want and need to learn how to operate these programs. Computer education and training is not something that we offer formally, but formal computer education is generally available from many resources, including community education programs as well as private educators. Receiving unwanted emails is a problem that could have resulted from the computer having been infected in the first place. Knowing how to "opt-out" from these email senders, and how to set up email filtering, could be possible solutions to this kind of problem. As proprietor of A-HI Computers, I believe that most customers will be very happy with our service. If a customer isn't happy, they should let me know directly, as our goal is to provide excellent service and support. You can find my shop on the web at www.a-hi.com."
"YOU BROUGHT A TV COMBO IN, REQUESTING REMOVAL OF A STUCK TAPE. I OFFERED THAT FOR A $20 DIAGNOSTIC FEE, WE WOULD REMOVE THE TAPE AND REPAIR THE UNIT IF REPAIRS WERE UNDER $80. OVER $80, OUR POLICY IS TO GIVE AN ESTIMATE FOR APPROVAL. OUR MISSION IS TO REPAIR ITEMS FOR PEOPLE. WE COULDN'T OBTAIN A SERVICE MANUAL FOR YOURS; NEITHER COULD YOU. WE DID SPEND SUBSTANTIAL TIME TRYING TO FIX THE ITEM, AND REMOVED YOUR TAPE AND VERIFIED THAT THE TV PORTION STILL WORKED. YOUR PAYMENT TO ME WAS $20, NOT $25 AS YOU STATE (PLUS 6.5% OHIO TAX). WE HAD NOT GIVEN UP WORK YET, BUT SINCE WE DIDN'T HAVE A GOOD RESOLUTION FOR YOU WE DIDN'T CALL YOU; YOU WERE CALLING US. I DO FIX A LARGE PERCENTAGE OF UNITS THAT COME INTO MY SHOP FOR REPAIR. ALMOST ALL OF MY CUSTOMERS ARE HAPPY, EVEN THOSE WHOSE EQUIPMENT TURNS OUT UNREPAIRABLE. WITH REASONABLE DIAGNOSTIC FEES, WE MAKE AN HONEST EFFORT TO REPAIR IN A WORLD THAT IS CHANGING TO A "THROWAWAY" ECONOMY. I HAVE BEEN DOING THIS SINCE 1990, AND ALWAYS OPERATE AN HONEST, REPUTABLE REPAIR SHOP. THIS IS WHAT ANGIE'S LIST IS ALL ABOUT - INFORMING PEOPLE OF THE REAL HONESTY AND QUALITY OF A BUSINESS, NOT WHAT YOU FOCUS ON. I AM SORRY WE TOOK SO LONG TO DECIDE THAT WE COULDN'T FIX YOUR UNIT; I HAD HOPES OF FIXING IT. THIS IS THE ONLY FLAW I SEE IN THE SERVICE THAT YOU WERE GIVEN. I WOULD APPRECIATE YOU TAKING SOME TIME REWORDING YOUR REVIEW TO ACCURATELY REFLECT THE FACTS, ESPECIALLY THE FACT THAT WE GAVE YOU MORE THAN YOUR "MONEYS WORTH" IN OUR ATTEMPT!"
