Her services and house are excellent. The pet door lets dogs enter and exit her large fenced in yard whenever they choose. Sue offers multiple sleeping arrangements. She is well trained on keeping the dogs healthy and separating dogs that don't get along.

Gayle and her team are OUTSTANDING!! Having them on board to take care of our dog while we are working 12 hour shifts makes for stress free days where our pup is concerned. Knowing that they will give tummy rubs, extended walks, efficient and loving care, and oh yes dog treats, to our dog makes for much less worrying on our part. We know that Wags will have the best care, just like if we were there to do it ourselves. I highly recommend their services and can honestly say that Gayle has become so much more than just the "dog walker". Great advice on how to actually train your dog and solve some of their issues! Blue Ribbon Pets does a great job every time! I have been using them for several years to walk my dogs. They came and interviewed me at the start about what I was looking for and took time to meet my dogs and find out about things that they liked and didn't like. They come and walk my dogs daily during the week, and my dogs absolutely love them. We have a couple of consistent walkers who have really gotten to know my dogs well, and they treat my dogs the way that they would treat their own. One provider sent me a beautiful picture of my dogs. They make great observations about the dogs, and when I was having some behavioral issues with my puppy, they had good suggestions to help improve her behavior. They also really help me when my work schedule is busy, providing coverage on holidays if needed. I have used their overnight service once, and felt they gave me and my dog a lot more personal attention than we would get at a big kennel. Overall, it has been a great experience and I would highly recommend them!

It went very well. The owner, Gayle Mattix, met with me at my house and brought along the 3 sitters that would be sharing the job of taking care of my animals. It was very nice to meet them and know who would be coming to my house. We went thru all the animal's routines and all the info they would need. Now that it is all setup all I do is call and give them my out of town dates and everything is taken care of. No more scrambling to find someone to take of my animals. I can even call with a last minute request. Very happy with they job they do.

She's very dog-centered and very caring. She is willing to let you know how your dog is doing while you're away. She sent videos of my dog playing and having a good time while I was away. It's set up in her home and has a big open back yard. I would recommend her highly.

Blue Ribbon is fantastic. They care for our dogs like their own. We get detailed reports of how everything went, including feeding, exercise, time spent massaging the dogs, etc. When one of our dogs was so old she could not do much, the Blue Ribbon owner kept our dog at her house to watch her. And if any problems, they will call and ask. Also take out garbage, get mail, etc. Wonderful, wonderful service.

Gayle comes to your home before the pet sitting to understand your pet's individual needs. Once a sitter is assigned, they also come to your home to get detailed instructions on how to care for your pet (one cat in this case). Julie took excellent care of Molly while I was away and sent me pictures while I was on my trip. She also watered my plants and brought in my mail. Molly is always happy when I get back home and well taken care of. I love that I can count on Blue Ribbon to take care of Molly when I need them!

We have four cats of varying ages. It's very important they have adequate food, fresh water and clean litter boxes. Julie did an excellent job – she even brought fresh catnip for playtime! We came home to a diary of daily pet activities.

After meeting with the business owner and reviewing and signing the contract, visits began. Initially there was some scheduling confusion on my part, and the owner became verbally aggressive with me on the phone accusing me of not sticking to the agreed upon schedule. I explained my position for that one initial weekend, and she settled down. She had arranged for three separate elderly women to visit with my 140 lb. dog. Two of them did well with him. The third caused his death due to the fact that she did not know what she was doing with dogs. After working with him outside, she brought him inside where he chose to sit in front of her which put her at eye level with him (she was short.) She looked him straight in the eye (a challenge to a dog) and talked baby talk to him. He growled at her. I told her he growled at her. She did not move away or correct him. And then he attacked her and knocked her on the floor where she stayed instead of getting up right away when I called him off her and got him in his cage. Her remaining on the floor was in dog language the most submissive position inviting attack. She had a head wound requiring 3 staples and bruising from him standing on her. The owner's contract says she's covered with liability insurance but then she refused to pay for her employee's medical expenses. I offered to cover her medical expenses with my homeowner's policy and gave her the info to contact the adjuster. That wasn't enough to satisfy her. She wanted to sue me for her pain and suffering. (Which she brought on herself by not knowing what she was doing.) My dog had never attacked anyone before. This woman went to her own doctor and the Humane Society to work up her case to get as much money as she could from my insurance insurance company and at the same time was getting my dog's death warrant signed. I had had him evaluated by the best dog trainer in the area who used to train police dogs. And he pronounced him a sound dog. I had been planning to start training with him in just a few short weeks. But after this horrible event my dog was given the designation of a viscious dog. The breeds of dog he was are never supposed to become attacking like he did. The Blue Ribbon employee challenged my dog to attack her and was stupid enough not to move away when he growled. I would never suggest anyone use this service since the owner doesn't know what she's doing with dogs not does she honor her contract. She also believes in a ban on Pit Bulls which just indicates her ignorance.

"I have waited to respond to this until all police reports and investigations have been completed.....Your dog was euthanized due to its very aggressive behavior which you were not addressing and failed to tell us about until after he attacked my sitter...She was very seriously injured and taken away by the local EMS folks...At that time you informed us about the attack on the lawn service person and you had signed a contract which stated that you were to let us know if you dog ever encounter such events....After telling 2 of us at two separate times about this incident, and your refusal to take responsiblity for your dogs actions, attorneys were involved (first time in 14 years) and you then agreed to file with your homeowners insurance.... Animal control became involved and investigated your dogs behaviors and lack of control on your part as well as your lack of willingness to work with your dog, decided that your dog could not be trusted and yes was told it was not allowed to housed or rehomed within Clermont County.... Had we known about your dogs previous behavior we would not have agreed to walk your dog....End of story...Your irresponsibility lead to the demise of your dog. Thanks for letting me set the story straight. My sitter has physically recovered but will probably never completely emotionally recover from this incident so I do not take it as all in a days work.... Sincerely, Gayle"

We have used Blue Ribbon Pets daily for almost three years and have always had great service. We also utilize them for overnight in-home care. All the walkers have been great to work with, especially John. He has been a life saver and treats our dogs like they are his own. After a bit of a rocky start* I connected with this provider to make a visit every other day while we were gone for ten days.  The owner, Gayle, came to my house, met the cat, and learned where everything is and what we needed done while we were gone.  A few days later the two catsitters (the primary and a backup) also came out, met the cat, learned where everything is and what we needed done.  They even brought fresh catnip with them (one of them grows it in her yard) which our cat adored.  I was very impressed not only that Blue Ribbon's owner came out herself but that she also sent both the primary AND the backup sitter out to us.  They asked for three keys -- one for the primary, one for the backup, and one for the owner -- to be absolutely assured that in case of emergency someone would be able to get in to take care of the cat.  Very professional.  The catsitters asked us if we'd like them to sit down and turn on the TV and give the cat a chance to come hang out, and we told them we'd love that and were sure the cat would too.  

When we got home from our trip, our cat greeted us happily from where she was curled up on a chair.  Normally after a trip this long -- when we've just had someone coming in every couple days to check that she's got food, water, and to change her box -- she's absolutely desperate for company, and usually we find her hiding beneath a bed crying hoarsely.  But while glad to see us, she was clearly in no distress.  We found the report card the sitter filled out after each visit, and she mentioned staying for an hour or so each visit to watch television, and that the cat had sat in her lap and given her headbutts, etc., especially after the initial visit.  The fact these folks were willing to stay and spend the extra time with our cat is definitely why she was not in distress by the time we got home.  We will absolutely use this service any time we go out of town for more than three days.  

*I bought an Angie's List deal on October 18.  The company was supposed to contact me within a couple of days, but they didn't.  After a month went by, I called them; turns out they're not reliably receiving messages from Angie's List, so if you message them thru Angie's List or buy a deal, definitely reach out to them independently of the Angie's List system.  This is literally my only complaint with these folks.
