This is a large project, done in sections between the plumber and general contractor. Some of the exterior walls needed to be up to position the shower base for measurements. Then the jack hammer work was done, drains set, etc. There was time between parts to lett concrete dry, etc. Walls had to be built before shower and sink piping could be run. A large hole in upstairs bedroom had to provide access to vent stack, etc. Lastly the bathroom had to be finished before toilet and sink could be set. Ted was very easy and flexible, working with the contractor. What really impressed me, though, were the numerous areas where a lesser plumbler could have cut corners, hooked the vent stack illegally too low, etc. Pipes with shut off valves were properly braced in back so they did not move. Pipes were protected by plates from drywall screws. What a delight to see a professional who would not accept anything less. Ted is also a very pleasent person to talk to and he likes a clean work space (even if he does have the world's worst looking broom).

An amazingly smooth process. I know plumbers usually give people headaches, but I have used Niehaus for years and find him to be fair and very knowledgeable. He is great at finding creative ways to solve plumbing problems and has saved me a bundle over the years. You can't go wrong with using their services!

We discovered the leak very late on a weeknight. The leak was bad enough that I had to stay home from work to, at a minimum, empty the bucket catching the water. My husband called several plumbers when he awoke, around 7:00 in the morning. Niehaus called us back within an hour and was out to our house 20 minutes after the call. We were thrilled to get someone in on such quick notice. The plumber immediately got to work. I did have to stop him to ask for an estimate before he went any further; for us, the situation was pretty urgent and his estimate (and final cost) was well within what we thought was fair. The entire repair took less than one hour. Great experience!

The repairman was quick to respond to my call and was very skilled in figuring out what was wrong and how to fix it. He was neat in his workmanship and wasted no time in completing the job.
