I was stopped at a light when I got hit by some idiot who was texting and driving. He damaged three other innocent vehicles and totaled his own. My car wasn't the worst off but the driver side mirror was obliterated and there was relatively minor damage to the body of my car. I called Geauga Unibody and they promptly gave me an estimate. The receptionist was extremely NICE and helpful, and John was careful and knowledgeable when assessing the vehicle. The cost was covered by the other driver's insurance, and once repairs were authorized Geauga Unibody worked directly with the insurance to have a rental car delivered to their shop. Additional issues were found during repairs and Geauga Unibody worked directly with the insurance to get all the repairs approved. The work was completed quickly and the repairs looked fantastic with no sign of previous damage. They also did an amazing job detailing the car inside and out and it looked like new when I picked it up. It's a huge inconvenience when someone crashes into your car, but fortunately no one was seriously hurt and thanks to Geauga Unibody the process was as pleasant as could be expected. I would highly recommend this business for the fine work they did and the excellent treatment I received as a customer.

He was great. the service was done in a timely manner. He also worked with the insurance company to cover all repairs, even though the insurance company didn't include all in the original estimate.

I was glad to see he was working in our best interest.

My wife hit a deer with her 2015 van and there was a lot of damage.  Since it was still drive-able, I drove it up to John and Michelle at Geauga Unibody.  They are both very personable and treat you like you are family. They took care of all of the paperwork, dealt with the insurance company, offered us help on obtaining a rental car and kept us up to date with phone calls and e-mails.  I could not believe how quick all the parts were ordered and my vehicle was repaired.  When Michelle called me, I was expecting her to tell me it would be done in about ten more days but she said it was already done !  I couldn't believe it.  When we went to pick it up it really looked beautiful !  It definitely was a very positive experience and I highly recommend them to anyone that needs to get their car repaired.

Excellent!  John Beclay, the owner took a great deal of time to explain all my options including the cost of each.  He saved me a great deal of money (compared to other quotes) by shopping for a replacement lid rather than a new one.  He also replaced a tail light for me.  The final cost of the repair was exactly what was quoted on the estimate.  When I picked up my car, it had been washed inside and out and looked wonderful.  
John is very personable as is his office staff, Michelle Nice (yes, that really is her last name.)  The work was done on time, in fact, it was ready the day before I expected the work to be completed.   I cannot say enough good things about this business.  I would certainly use them again (hopefully, that won't be necessary) and I would definitely recommend them to family and friends.

I had a wonderful experience with Geauga Unibody.  My family and friends have been using them for years.  Very personable people that are quick to respond, take care of all the paperwork, insurance, rentals, everything for you!  Easy to work with and friendly personalities.  The best part is my car looks brand new!  You can tell they actually CARE about their customers.  I would definitely reccommend this business, never a worry when using Geauga Unibody.

Went with Geauga Unibody b/c of their reviews on Angie's List.  Estimate was lower than competitors in the area.  Couldn't have been more personable and professional.  Exceptional work.  Done exactly when they said it would be.  Hopefully I won't need this type of repair / work again but if I do, I'm going back to them.  Highly recommend.

This was the second service to two different cars in the space of 30 days.  Service was excellent.  John actually talked me out of having a more expensive repair done to one of them.  His suggestion saved me several thousand dollars and the results were still outstanding.  Highly recommend Geauga Unibody and would use their services again without hesitation.

Removed tailgate in 15 minutes.  Called 4 days later and reinstalled tailgate in 15 minutes.  Was never without vehicle.

What a fantastic job!  I highly recommend Geauga Unibody for repair work; this coming from a very particular car owner.  John was very friendly, responsive, and detailed.  The car was fixed on schedule and looks factory finished.  Their pricing is very reasonable as they don't pile on the unnecessary hours in the quotation like emblem removal/installation and excess masking time.  I'll be back for next body repair need.

Had to wait a few weeks to get into the shop.Did all the work I requested and the finished product look very good.Very profesional and explained all my options.If I have any other accidents I will definetly us this shop.

My repair went extremely well.  I called Michelle at Geauga Unibody and explained the issue to her on my right front fender.  I emailed her pictures of the damage.  She got back to me via phone with a verbal estimate and followed up with a written one.  The repair cost was more than reasonable.  I called back and scheduled the service.  Dropped the car off the night before and picked it up when it was scheduled to be done.  The repair cost was exactly the estimated cost and the workmanship was great  - could not even tell a repair had been done.  They also washed my car (which was a pleasant surprise for me).  When I called to thank them Michelle said this was part of their "regular service" which I find to be pretty unique.
This is the third time I or my family have used Geauga Unibody and each time John Beclay has exceeded my expectations with  his workmanship and personable level of service.
I will continue to use Geauga Unibody for all my family vehicle repairs into the future.

My daughter has a unique color newer Mustang that was dented in several places while at college. For fear of rust, I decided to repair the car and so I contacted 4 auto repair shops. One was a huge dealership sponsored business; a commercial assembly line affair. It was unfriendly, untimely (I had to call them back to get a quote when it didn't get emailed to me within 3 days). They also quoted quite high for work that could not even be scheduled for a month. In contrast, Geauga Unibody is large business that presents as a well kept, friendly, yet professional repair center that cares about its customers. Jen the front office person, set the tone by her efficient yet competent manner. John Beclay followed with a quick and thorough estimate, with a reasonable quote and an appointment for the next week. What sets this shop aside is that they treat you like family, answering all of your questions and completely explaining everything before the work is done. Then they repaired the car, color matched the paint beautifully (my biggest worry), and returned it to us looking like new, inside and out. The work was excellent, timely and sensibly priced. The communication was outstanding. It's obvious that I love their service, since they are now ordering parts to repair my SUV that needs some work. I would highly recommend that if you are looking to repair a vehicle to give them a call. You will not regret it.

I went to several repair shops to get estimates and a feel for the shop that would eventually do the work on the car. All of the estimates were pretty close. Several things set Geauga Unibody (GU) apart from the competitors: 1) They were the top rated repair shop with a lot of positive reviews on Angie's List, 2) John explained that insurance companies commonly have their own preferred repair shops they steer consumers to work with; however, in Ohio, consumers have the final say for who does their repairs and the insurance companies have to comply, 3) He emphasized they use genuine Honda parts on their repairs, 4) They would make all the arrangements for the rental, 5) They are genuinely friendly folks.
When the other motorist saw the estimates from the repair shops, she filed a claim with her insurance company and they did have a preferred shop, to which I said I had already located a shop that I wanted to trust my car to repair and they did not argue about it. GU's office coordinator called me to set the appointment for the repairs. She explained what they would do and that they would need to order parts. Setting the appointment was a piece of cake. Although the insurance company paid for the repairs and rental car, GU called the rental car folks and arranged for them to meet me at GU at the time I dropped off the Civic for repairs.
They kept me informed about the vehicle and at one point she called me to let me know they had to order another part. Since I knew I could not make it to their shop to pick up my completed car before they closed, they locked it out for me and arranged with the rental car company for me to leave the rental in their parking lot. I don't know if this is standard for all repair shops or not, but the entire car looked amazing, like they washed and possibly waxed it too.
The whole interaction with GU was positive from the initial estimate all the way to the end when I picked up my car. I definitely recommend trusting them with your auto repair needs.

I've taken cars to Geauga unibody several times and will continue to use them for all collision repair. I go there because of the quality of the repairs, that is they aren't done until its done right, even if it takes longer than expected. They friendly, honest and straight forward, they coordinate insurance payments and rental cars. I gave them a B only for the reason that I had to initiate communication a couple times during this last repair expecting to hear I could pick up the car only to learn additional damage was found and it would be another few days. They contacted the insurance company and took care of the additional charges. It wasn't the delay it was just having to make the contact to get the update. Like I said I knew John and company would do it right and am always very happy with the results and the price The car comes back completely detailed and looking like new. No one should have any concerns when using Geauga Unibody to repaire their cars.

Excellent experience! I would highly recommend Geauga Unibody. They spent extra time locating a Ford OEM fender and they painted it to perfection! The car looks amazing. This is the BEST bodyshop I have ever used!

A first class job all around. Absolutely no problems since. My car was spotless inside and out when I brought it home. Couldn't have been more pleased and would recommend them highly.

Went very well. Timely. And they worked closely with the insurance company to keep costs down without sacrificing quality. I was shown all the repair required while the car was up on the lift with a clear explanation of the work necessary. First time quality - no reason to return afterwards for issues!

John gave a me a firm, fair estimate for the work, and detailed exactly what he would do. I dropped the car off over the weekend, went to an out of town meeting, and received an email that the job was done that Thursday. Price was exactly per quote, and the paint repair looks great. Very happy with the customer service and communication.

I submitted an earlier review on Geauga Unibody after they performed an insurance repair due to an accident that my son had.
As I mentioned in the earlier review, I was so pleased with the work performed that I planned to take my other two cars to get some preventative repairs and fix up done.
In a nutshell, I received two more excellent repair jobs.
What's more, Michelle in the office handled all of the details with the rental agency and even got me a free upgrade when Hertz screwed up.
In short, these are nice, professional and competent people and I highly recommend them.

Unfortunately, my son was driving my car down a country road and a stationary object jumped out and bit him! This was an insurance repair, but I still had my choice of where to get the car repaired. I consulted Angie's list and found Geauga Unibody was well recommended.
John Beclay spent a lot of time with me reviewing the repairs that were needed and the areas where the damage really couldn't be assessed until the car was dismantled. I also pointed out a few minor items that I wanted to fix at the same time and would pay for personally. John graciously said he would include these items at no charge. John is very friendly, likeable and talkative.
A few hours after my visit, the estimate was emailed to me. Originally, I was going to speak with at least one more repair shop (also on Angie's List), but I felt so comfortable with John that I told him to schedule me in.
Michelle, the office manager, is very nice and accommodating as well. She took care of all the details including arranging for my rental car.
During the repair, some hidden items were uncovered. John was an excellent advocate for me with the insurance adjuster and everything was taken care of to my satisfaction.
I also took advantage of an Angie's List coupon for a free detail with the repair and the car looked fantastic when I picked it up. I was so pleased with the work that John did that I am now scheduling my other cars in for some needed touch ups and repairs.

Insurance of the other driver took care of the cost. I had to take the car back for a water problem, they repaired the leak at no cost. Overall, I good repair except for the repair delays.
