This review is for the Mentor location at 7180 Center Street, Mentor, OH. All the people there are very friendly and helpful. In particular I worked with Dave Mzraz. He is a super nice guy and very knowledgable. He made the whole experience enjoyable. I replaced 17 windows over the course of two years. i purchased the windows in groups of 2 - 4 at a time so I was there quite often. Dave always returned my calls promptly and gave great advice when I had questions. Overall he did an outstanding job. Buying new windows can be somwhat stressfull because 1) they are expensive and 2)they can not be returned if the measurements are incorrect, and 3) there are so many options to choose from that all have be determined befor ordering....so they must be ordered correctly the first time, no second chances. Dave helped make my expreince as stress-free as possible. I will definitely do business with Mentor Lumber in the future.
UPDATE: By the way I purchased Simonton brand windows from Mentor Lumber and I have been very happy with these windows. It has been over three years since I installed the first of these windows and they are still as good as the day I installed them. All of my windows are horizontal sliders or fixed glass, none are double hung. I can't comment of the quality of their double hung windows. Mentor Lumber is one of the rare places that actually sell the Simonton brand windows to do-it-yourselfers like me.
