My wife picked out the counter top for our bathroom vanity she liked (granite) and paid the counter top and installation ($700).  The installation was scheduled for 1:30pm on Monday.  At 1:10pm Monday I get a call from the installer saying that since I'm not there and the bathroom is not ready they are pulling off site and we will have to re-schedule.   I tell him that I'm en route and he isn't even supposed to be there until 1:30pm, he agrees to wait (frustrating and stupid but ok).   I show up and have everything ready for the installer at 1:20pm.   They install the counter top after I leave and have to got back to work.  I really wish I could have stopped them from screwing it up.

1.)  The counter top was measured wrong.   The over hang on the left front was 1 1/4" and on the right 5/8".   That is a NOTICEABLE difference that is just terrible to pay for.  I'm about 99% sure they all knew it was wrong because they put hardly any caulking on anything so if they had to pull it out they could easier, however, they called it a "finished" product after they left.  This is really why I got so mad...  am I dumb enough to buy it?

2.)  The installing in his grand wisdom decided to "eye" the hole for the faucet and drilled it 3/4" off center to the stone basin cut out.  The funny thing:  just before I left I asked the installer if he wanted a right angle or a tape or anything because I had them in the other room, he said "no we have all that stuff in the truck".   For the record:  HE CANNOT EYE ANYTHING well.

3.)  The porcelain under mount basin was set sloppily off center approximately 3/4".   So when your looking at the stone cutout for the under mount sink it does not line up with the actual drain or the faucet.

4.)  The installer did not apply enough caulking.  The actual basin was sloppy and was actually moving around.  I had to re-caulk the countertop and basin myself.

My wife LOVES this stone and I was going to let it just go because I didn't want her to feel like she was "duped".   But after going in the bathroom (alot like we all do)  It became evident that they knew the countertop was measured wrong and installed it anyway just to see if we were dumb enough to buy it.   That just p***** me off so I called Chris Kurr and told him of the countertop being cut wrong, the hole for the faucet just being "eyed" in and the lack of caulking etc...   I basically called him on his BS.  He was responsive but unfortunately you cannot GROW the stone back that you cut off and there really is no way of fixing it without totally replacing it.  He measured it wrong and it looks like it is a half-assed job no matter what you do.  Since he is the only person who has the matching stone that we need to complete the bathroom I told him that maybe next time I should measure it.  His response was he doesn't do that because he doesn't want any mistakes.   After he realized that he already screwed up the measuring and what he said was absolutely ridiculous he told me he was getting offended and told me to take my business elsewhere.

I would not go near this guy.  He isn't a bad guy and I believe he is really trying to be honest.  He has a good product but is just not capable of putting it together.   If you use this guy you will NOT BE HAPPY with the result.

Badly measured and cut.
Badly Installed.

Final product:  Half-Assed.

After that and $700 later...  DONT DO IT   Creative StoneCrafters are just plain BAD!!!!

We paid in full and are still waiting for the job to be completed.

Our experience had a happy ending, and I heartily recommend Creative Stonecrafters.  The manager came out, inspected everything, and is making good on it all.  The issue was a squirrely employee, that even the manager has been unable to contact.
