It went well. I went for a ride with the serviceman to determine the sound I was talking about. The repair was completed the same day and came in under his estimate.

The technician collected the car, completed the diagnostic work, performed the maintenance (replacement of battery), and returned the car--all within a couple hours of my calling him. He was knowledgeable and efficient, and he did not try to sell services (e.g., a tune-up) that I did not require.
