This was the first time using Angie's list and Jim was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and friendly. We was very responsive and was promptly at my house (even a few minutes early) when he said he would be! He gave me the exact estimate so there were no surprises. I would definitely recommend him and would use him in the future!

Jim was punctual, efficient, and knowledgeable. He cleaned the chimney, lubricated the damper and checked the firebox. He answered our questions and cleaned up and left the area in the same condition as before. We would hire Jim again.

The service provider opened chimney flue in the hearth, looked into the chimney with a flashlight, and determined that it was not in need of cleaning.  He did lubricate the turn-key for the flue to improve its operation.  
Outside, he used a ladder to reach the garage roof and then to reach the second story roof where the chimney top is located.  He observed the flaking or spaulding of the furnace flue tile and the hole that had opened on one corner of the tile.  He fashioned a wire mesh covering and secured it in place over the hole with cement mortar.

The technician arrived to our house on time (after calling prior to his visit to ensure we were home).  He quickly performed his inspection of both chimneys and informed me that there was a crack that he could quickly repair.  He was fair, honest, and very professional.  I would highly recommend them.

Originally we wanted to install a chimney top damper/cap on our gas log fireplace to reduce the amount of air drafting in and out of the living room.   Rather than installing the new damper, Jim improved the seal on the internal damper.  This alternative approach saved us several hundred dollars.   Overall ... Jim was ontime, courteous, professional and exceeded our expectations.

Came out end of winter to see why I was hearing water dripping.  Inspected chimney and said there were tiny holes in the existing sheet metal cap.  He would have to come back when the weather was better because he had to put a tarp over the chimneys until a new cap was fabricated.  Took 3 business days and was back to install.  Left no mess.  Very good  professional service.  Highly recommend

He did a good job.  He was very neat.  He put down stuff so that my house wouldn’t get messy.  He cleaned everything up.  I had no dirt or no problems from that.  He seemed to do a good job, he came on time, and he cleaned up after himself.  He was very professional.  He did say my chimney needed some tuck and point or whatever.  He said I should do it in a little while which I haven’t done and I’ve been thinking about getting it done this summer.  I think I will call him back.  It was that long ago.  I’m surprised my chimney probably hasn’t fallen down.  One of those things you don’t think about all the time and gets away from you.   I haven't had it cleaned since then and I'm not really on top of that.   He did tell me about the chimney and he didn't pressure me to do it.  I would highly recommend him.

Music Street Chimney arranged with me to inspect the chimney.  The owner-operator of Music Street Chimney arrived at the established time.  The inspection was done.  Our chimney was in good shape.  We would hire Music Street Chimney again.

He did a very thorough job.  He also came 1 week earlier when I was having a small crisis with a broken flue and stopped by to fix it quickly for me.  He does an excellent job and has many additional skills that will be helpful in the future (including masonry work).
