It was a very pleasant and informative appointment. He explained everything he was going to be doing and the cause of the problems that I was having. He was very polite, clean, courteous and well informed. He provided information and literature regarding special plans that they provide to maintain the electrical system in the house. I will definitely use them for any future problems I might have.

I was extremely happy with every thing they did. They were professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I plan to have them back to take care of some of the other things.

Service was excellent. Howard Z was very professional and extremely experienced. I have not had home electrical work done by anyone in many years so I was experiencing sticker shock when the prices were explained, but I wanted the work done. I subsequently contacted Clover to explain that my fans were quickly installed due to acceptable wiring and box already in place; we agreed on a better price for the actual time. I am pleased with Clover and confident to recommend them.

Jeff came out, arriving timely, to diagnose the problem and give me an estimate of the cost of repair. We scheduled the work. Two electricians arrived on time on the scheduled day. They worked diligently, but couldn't complete the work that day because of rainy conditions and some glitches in getting wiring through a wall. So, follow-up appointment was scheduled. One electrician came out on that day, arrived on time, got right to work and finished the job. Did a good job of explaining what all had been done and gave instructions on what to do if a breaker trips, etc.

We found the company through Angie's List. We called a number of different electricians before making an appointment with Clover. They were very responsive, profession, prepared and friendly.

ordered part, came on time. Installed part and obtained roofer to run duct through roof for kitchen fan to vent. Took two days due to weather. Service person was very polite, cleaned up thoroughly, no problems.

It went fine; very professional, cleaned up after himself, was quick and knew what he was doing. He gave me the impression he knew what he was doing from discussing the work he was going to do before he did it. He was friendly with my dog as well. The only negative was that I thought the cost was high, even after negotiating the price down. I felt $300 for the installation plus the Angies List fee of $79 for a total of $379 was maybe a little high. Other than the expense of installing, everything else was excellent.

I found this company on Angies List. I asked for a service call because several of my basement outlets were suddenly not working. No circuit breakers had flipped in the electric panel. I have my house on the market to sell, wanted the problem fixed before house had to pass inspection at time of sale. The electrician who came showed me that the nonworking outlets were all connected to a sincle GFCI outlet which I had not noted. He pushed the reset button, all outlets now worked again. He told me that even in a dry basement, moisture conducted by cement wall often caused basement GFCIs to need replacement after a number of years. My house was built in 1992, he stated that the GFCI was probably tripping too easily. Suggested replacement. Also, he looked over my kitchen and told me that code had changed since house built, 3 standard outlets in kitchen which were not GFCI needed to be repaced with GFCI because they bordered on a counter more than 1 foot wide. He went out to his truck, came back with a price quote of $1162 to replace basement GFCI and change 3 standard kitchen outlets to GFCI. I was surprised at the high price ($290.55 per outlet) but since this company was on Angies List and since I was already paying the $79 dispach fee for him to just come to the house, I authorized him to do the work. But the next day, I had second thoughts. I looked up GFCIs online, discovered that they sell for $12 to $20 apiece online. That was a shock. I phoned the company, they had the tech call me back. He insisted that I was aware of the price when I okayed the work to be done. End of story. I talked to the owner of the company (Tom) and explained to him I felt there had to be some "mistake" (I was giving them a way out here for ripping me off, chance to make some kind of price adjustment) but he insists that their charges were "industry standard." I told him I felt his company had totally ripped me off. He insists the GFCIs he installed were "better" than the ones I saw online much cheaper, but he refused to tell me what he pays to buy each of those GFCIs and they look exactly like the tamper resistent GFCIs I saw online. I told him that the fact they charged the dispach fee on TOP of unreasonable charges was just icing on the cake. I told him I would be contacting Angies List to state my unhappiness and would certainly share my discontent with anyone I could talk to. Made no difference to him. He would not back off on any of the charges. Angie's List, can you help me out here??? I thought by using an electrician from your list, I would avoid this kind of ripoff.

Howard was very professional, thorough and extremely knowledgeable. He did a thorough review of the areas i had issues with and answered all my questions and explained everything in detail. However, I am overall disappointed. I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal and it was anything but. It was ONLY A BIG DEAL FOR CLOVER! First, this is one of the few places that charges quite a hefty fee for an estimate, but that's just the beginning as their cost per hour was nothing short of outrageous! After the initial evaluation was complete ($79), the price to do the work was provided ($2,275). They indicated they couldn't be sure how long it would take, but no matter what complications, the price would not increase. As it turned out they told me half way through that they had thought they would need to break into the drywall, but did not have to. The two guys were here for 4 hours, so a total of 8 man hours. If u assume $200 in materials (probably much less)' the rate for each electrician was $259 PER HOUR plus the $79 for the estimate! There are many, many similar complaints about the cost of this vendor, so this is not an isolated incident. It seems like they hire very efficient, experienced people, but then their hourly estimates are based off of a newbie, so the net result is a high per hour fee and a high time estimate. I ultimately feel very taken advantage of when i calculated the cost per hour, especially since they had originally anticipated for a more complicated work effort and when this didn't happen I should have had that amount reduced from the original estimate, but when i questioned it, they indicated that's not how they do it. So their business model is: use an hour estimate based on the worst case scenario of everything going wrong plus a few extra hours, charge about double the rate of an experienced electrician, and when the job is less complicated and takes 8 man hours less than estimated, day our policy is that you have to pay the estimate. and then of course they laugh all the way to the bank and tell the customer, i'm glad your enjoying our wonderful service. I don't mind a high hourly rate, but to charge a high rate AND over estimate the job in hours and not reduce the charge once it was determined to be half the hours estimated, is bad business practice. an estimate should be given based on the situation: if i have to do x, the cost will be X, if not, it will be y. So be warned; BUYER BEWARE. For future work i'll try to find someone that doesn't charge the proverbial arm and a leg.

Bought the deal for $179. However, because I had 2 electrical panels I was charged an additional cost of $226.89. They were very professional and did an excellent job and cleaned up when job was completed.

hhPricing was the only "D", although I am not familiar with electric pricing, I feel this was high, true they drove from Chagrin Falls to the west side of Cleveland, but I still feel it was excessive.

He worked non stop to complete the work. He cleaned up and left our property in great shape.

It was difficult to reach someone. When I did, I was offended by their request to pay for an estimate. I suggest going with other companies who are willing to give an estimate without charging.

Called this company when Angie's List provided a $50 coupon for their services. They showed up on time. Technician was professional and the job was completed quickly and professionally. I supplied the fixture, and they installed it, replacing an existing fixture in the same location. I was stunned by the price though. The charge for this simple procedure was a whopping $343 ($293 after the $50 Angie's List coupon). That included a service fee of about $79. Technician quoted me before work was completed, and I reluctantly agreed to pay it. This work required about a half hour to complete, and should have cost maybe $150 inclusive of the service charge in my humble opinion. Would never use this vendor again. Charges were excessive.

I contracted with Clover to do over $1,000 of electrical work and placed a deposit. Unforeseen financial circumstances resulted in me not being able to go through with the work. What happened next is what impressed me the most about this organization. Clover was very understanding, refunded my deposit without any, and I mean any difficulties and was willing to discuss another time when I get back on my feet again. The women who does the scheduling is a real pro and extremely easy to deal with. You may have to pay more but you definitely get the value for the extra money. I would not hesitate to have them out again.

The service person was really nice and did the job in professional manner. Instructed me on what I need to look for if certain conditions were present. Overall a good experience.

The technician Sam, had came out on his day off to assist. They gave me discounts because I was a past customer. When you can get to know a specific electrician, it is really great to have that same electrician out each time, as they become more familiar with the home.

This was my first experience with Clover. They are clearly a top-notch company providing top-notch electrical service. My only complaint is their pricing -- the $279 coupon was not even sufficient to cover their basic Level 1 diagnosis. I had to pay an additional ~$30 to cover the diagnosis. This left me unable to have them perform any of the work that I'd purchased the coupon for in the first place (rewire an old light fixture, add an exterior outlet). Nevertheless I still gave them a high rating because I cannot fault someone for being very good at what they do and consequently able to charge a premium for their services. Bottom Line: If you can afford them, use them. If you are not blessed with an abundant income, then you might look for a more affordable option.
