Jeff called me and stated that the power supply was bad and the motherboard was bad. He said the price to fix would range from about $235 to $350 depending on the motherboard. I told him to go ahead and fix it. At that point, he stated that if it was his computer, he would not do that. He said that what he would do is buy a new desktop that would not be much more than the cost of the repair and that it would be a much more powerful and faster computer. I was immediately impressed because he could have easily said that he would fix it and take the extra money. I told him that I would start looking, but in the meantime, I would like to get some information off of the computer. I told him that I needed a Quicken file quickly and that I would like to transfer the other files in "My Documents" to my laptop. We arranged to meet has his house and I brought my laptop. Jeff showed me that he had found the Quicken file and had burned it to a CD for me. He also said that instead of taking all of the time necessary to copy the files from the old hard drive to my laptop, it would be better for me to buy a hard drive docking station at Best Buy or Radio Shack and put my old hard drive into that to allow me to use the old hard drive as an extra drive and that I could pull any files off of it myself. Again, he could have charged me for the work, but chose what was best for his customer. I was very impressed with his professionalism and his willingness to to the right thing for me his customer. All I got charged was his diagnosis time of $35 plus $15 for the time it took him to remove the hard drive and to burn the Quicken file for me. I only had $49 on me so he said ok. I definitely recommend Bonsteel Computer Services for anyone who has a computer issue or needs advice on a computer problem.

Great! Everything was accomplished as requested. Jeff definitely knows what he is doing and the price is very reasonable. I highly recommend him for any computer work you might need.
