Ryan and crew were fantastic! Ryan did a great, thorough job estimating our project, and very carefully outlined everything they'd need to do, and were there were potential risks for extra costs. We could really tell that they were passionate about the work they do. We'll definitely be calling on them again for any future paining needs.

Can't say enough great things about working with Ryan! He was easy to reach and communicate with for an estimate and throughout the planning and scheduling. He was always available for questions, prompt, friendly, professional and a pleasure to work with. He was by far the best price for the project and made the payment process very convenient. Jason did an excellent job on the installation and the end result is wonderful. Thank you, Ryan! -Christina

Working with Ryan was fantastic. He is always helpful, professional and courteous. If you don't need it, he won't *make* you do it. The job was completed as promised in the time he estimated.

We are very disappointed with Ryan. The Job was supposed to be done when we got back from our 2 week vacation but we were informed one hour before arriving home (it was an 8 hour drive) that the house still needed some "touching up". It looked like bomb had gone off, nothing had been protected by tarps and there was dust every where, there is still white paint on our furniture, they set open paint cans on unprotected eating surfaces including our baby's high chair. There were rusted nails left on our stairs for us to step on, they had opened the linen closet so all the dusk could dirty our fresh linens as well, my makeup brushes are saturated in dust and so on. We negotiated a deal where he changes two of the rooms wall colors and a petite half bath as well to make up for his mistake and i asked if he would paint our sun room as well. He said it would take an extra day to complete the initial project and one or two days to do the sun room. THE WORK IS STILL NOT DONE. After living in a hotel with our infant daughter for an additional 7 days after he those "one or two days" for the sun room to be completed we walked him thru the rough edges, the scuff marks, the wall where the old color was showing thru, the trim that no one even tried to paint, the yellow on the white trim and the white on the wall and so on, the list goes on, no really, we wrote a list, 2 actually. He said that we would fix everything and then a couple hours later he packed his things and said he was done even tho he didn't correct ANY of his work. We texted him pictures of the blatant mistakes and he argued, raised his voice, and told my husband that I had been very "hurtful" by pointing out that he had not done his job. I even called him later to apologize that he had felt hurt and that this wasn't personal at all, it was professional. Any way, he said he didn't want to finish the job and cashed the check. Thats right, he never completed the job and then he took our money. I said that he could either complete the work or I would have to write a negative review even tho I really wanted to write a positive one because our wall look great. Its just the detail work and scuff marks that I will have to do myself. When he extended this job finish it after we got home and it wasn't done I added $200 extra dollars to his check so that he knew I appreciated him. He later informed my husband that the $200 wasn't enough and that he had been insulted by it. This was a very negative experience for the whole family. I really wanted to give Ryan more chances and more money to finish the job but unfortunately neither of those things worked. He initially said he would come fix it in the further whenever he had time but then quickly started to raise his voice and tell my husband that he didn't like me and thus would not fix his mistakes and complete the job that was already paid for. Bizarre.

Ryan and company prepped and repainted our 4th bedroom, which had been graffiti-ed, both walls and ceiling, by a former house "guest". Walls were sanded, sealed, primed and painted suffient to prevent prior oil paints and crayon bleeding through. And the room looks great once again.
Ryan also redid both shower ceilings, with mildew resistant additives, as well as generally address moisture issues with both bath ceilings and repainted, and touched up wood trim around both bathroom skylights. And those two rooms are now looking good as well.
Ryan and his crew are all very curtious, and clean up afterwards is effective.
This was actually our second time using Ryan. Work the first time, a few years ago, involved extensive wall paper removal, with skim coating to refinish wall surfaces where needed, priming, and two coats of paint, for five rooms downstairs, plus both downstairs and upstair hallways, inludiing the high ceilinged stairway up.
We first met Ryan when our Angies List roofer crew stepped through our bedroom ceiling from the atttic and they brought Ryan in to fix that up and repaint the ceiling. And one thing led to another.
Quality in my opinion is high. And I can highly recommend.

Ryan and his company Empowered Painting were recommended by our realtor -- we were getting our house ready to sell and needed the basement painted immediately before putting the house on the market. Ryan contacted us quickly and was able to send out a worker to begin on the basement within a day. Ryan explained what needed to be done, supervised the progress daily, and was extremely professional and personable. He was a delight to work with, as was his employee Scott who painted the basement and fixed the window. We had complete trust in Ryan's ability to get the job done when we needed it, despite his very busy schedule. The results were of the highest quality -- the basement looks tremendous and will contribute immensely to the value of our home. We would have no hesitation about calling him in again - his integrity and care significantly reduced the stress of preparing the house to sell.

Ryan and his crew have completed several jobs for me. They initially painted a basement in preparation of selling my home. After moving to my next home, they painted the entire interior. This required the removal of wallpaper, filling holes, sanding and repairing doors and woodwork, etc. The house looked great when they finished. They then returned to correct and complete a bathroom remodel. This included installing cabinetry, shower, flooring, correcting mistakes from previous contractor, installing overhead lighting, etc. They do a great job, are thorough and detailed. They were also willing to do some extra small tasks for us at the same time.

The nice thing is all of the things we didn't think of were covered in the estimate. Ryan is a specialist in home painting, but also getting homes ready for showings. The house is Model Like now with the details and great work provided.

We also had the experience of meeting Ryan Meyers through a top quality AngiesList roofer who had stepped through an upstairs ceiling while adding insulation. The fact that Ryan was recommended by this roofer carried a lot of weight. While Ryan was handling the above repair, I thought to show him other work we had on our 'to do" list and one thing led to another. While primarily listed as a painter, Ryan and his crew of Rick and Tom handle general remodeling tasks as well -- and were more than willing to take on wallpaper removal, other drywall repairs, window trim and front door refinishing, fixing issues with some problem closet doors, re-securing a loft railing and installing new storm doors. The work went very well. Ryan and his two man crew of Rick and Tom are all friendly and very meticulous in doing jobs right, and not just getting in and out. And if you're reasonable and up front in working with Ryan, he does the same with you, which makes the whole experience that much easier all around. I would have no reservations in using again, and very likely will.

He is quite meticulous and detail orientated. He is very agreeable; he will come back and touch up as necessary. He has a great work ethic as well. He's a little more expensive, but it's worth it for the quality.

Empowered Painting was contracted by a roofer as a result of an issue with water damage to our ceiling. Empowered Painting was able to come to our house within 48 hours to complete the work. Ryan was happy to come out and ensured me that it would be a simple quick job. The painter was friendly, professional, and polite. The job was completed within 4 hours from start to finish. He cleaned up all of the mess from the mud repairs and used drop clothes to cover the furniture. While waiting on the mud to dry he gave me some pointers about painting some trim I was doing. He painted the ceiling quickly once the mud dried and it looks great. I was also happy that he was friendly to our cat that was curious about the work.
