CUSTOM HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING

It went great! Jake and Andrew arrived to install the unit and within several hours I had air conditioning again--just in time for the 90 degree heat wave that hit the next day. They did a great job and cleaned everything up when they left.

New over-the-range microwave wasn't drawing air from cooktop area. Whirlpool's service technician blamed problem on outside vent/duct right away and left without further investigation. I had verified that the microwave exhaust would not draw air even when the unit was NOT attached to the wall -- so the problem was clearly in the microwave, NOT in the wall vent/duct. Anyway, just to put any doubts to bed, I called Steve at Custom H&AC -- they had installed all the ductwork in the house -- and explained the situation. He agreed that it was unlikely that there was any problem with the wall ductwork, but offered to send someone to check it out anyway. Jimmy and his colleague were very punctual. They checked everything out and confirmed that the ductwork was clear. Since the problem wasn't really related to their original installation, I felt that I should pay for wasting their time, but they refused to accept any payment! What more can one ask for?
