MIAMI VALLEY OVERHEAD DOOR

Chris did a fantastic job repairing my door, I hold my referrals in high regard and don't offer accolades lightly, so when I tell you this man is a perfectionist and does a quality job--you can take my word. One of the two springs were broken, Chris responded within 24 hours and did a thorough repair of the door. Turns out the size springs on the door were the wrong size. Chris installed the correct size for my wooden door (very heavy). He also replaced some rusted brackets and cables, adjusted the garage door opener and tightened and lubricated all the bearings and hinges on the door. His cost was very reasonable and I absolutely would use him in the future if my other door breaks or I need to replace an opener.

Overall the process went OK. Technician arrived a bit earlier than expected. Once I outlined the problem he assessed the problem and did the fix. Once he was done he let me know in addition tot eh fix he also did the maintenance and outlined how I would be billed.

Oh wow! There still are great service companies in America! From the phone call from their service coordinator to the technician who replaced my garage door opener, and the quality parts they used, a class act. I was told everything that was going to happen over the phone and a call came when he was about 45 minutes out to let me know he was on the way. Chris arrived and greeted me and let me know what he was going to do and asked me where I wanted the new opener button to be and where I wanted the wire to be run. This was nice because I didn't like where the old one was. He did not just use the old wire (he could have) but he said when it's stapled to the wall it could be damaged so he ran all new wire and used padded fasteners. He took extra time to make the wires look nice and run straight, plus at the ends near the optical sensors he wound them up really nice with extra wire in case we need to service them in the future. I'm a DIY person and like to help on jobs too and he didn't mind me tagging along to see what he was doing. When he opened the box to the opener it had a crack in the outer plastic housing (a non-issue for operation, just a cosmetic issue) but instead of just slapping it up there, he told me about it and asked if it was OK, then he went ahead and did a little repair on it with a soldering gun and made it look as if it never was cracked. I wasn't even out there for that part so he could have hid that easy but he did the right thing and told me. Everything he did was quality and precision, you could tell by his tools and parts were well organized and clean. He was very knowledgeable and showed me how to apply oil to all the places to maintain my door in top shape. He spent 4 hours doing the entire job right, down to the little things, and I felt like I got the quality of if I did this myself with his 18 years of experience (and tools) on my own house. I offered him coffee, water and the restroom and he never asked for anything or even came in the house on a very cold night. I had another company replace my garage door springs a few months back and they did not do nearly the same quality work. The only reason I marked them down on punctuality was because it was pretty late when he was done and I would have liked him to start earlier... but he did arrive within the window we agreed upon and I am glad to have my car INSIDE the garage.
