+ -1 moreI would not ever recommend this shop to anyone and found Mr Wise to be a very dishonest man
Description of Work: Wise auto care and cycle center replaced the motor in my car we were told it would come out of the same make and model as ours,when we picked the car up it was loud and leaking oil we returned it to be looked at and at the same time our truck was acting up so asked him to just read the code needless to say when he was done the truck would not shift anymore (that is another 750.00 job we had to get fixed) at that point we had both vehicles towed to another shop. After almost 3000.00 to fix their screw up we did our own investigation the motor was out of a whole different car and so the exhaust manifold was to big for my car and the pipe was shoved clear over to the passengers side (not the middle) the rubber device that helps secures the exhaust pipe to keep it from rattling and being loud,the oil pan was dented he also did work that was unauthorized ( they had been turned into the BBB for unauthorized work before) and now to find out the rear main seal leaks that is where the oil leak is coming from

+ -1 moreWe have dune buggy that was in for repair twice for the same issue in December. Both times I paid a repair bills over $300. Now it has been in their shop for over a month. I have to keep calling and don't get my calls returned. I finally talked to the owner today because I called twice and waited on hold, and he wants another $1600 to fix it. When I told him I didn't want to fix it, he still wants to charge ANOTHER check out fee. And he is rude and unprofessional.

lawn mower repair
+ -1 moreOur Tiger Cub broke and I had called a mower repair person on Angie's List for help. After a couple days of phone tag and no response, our grass was ankle high. When I finally got in touch with the mower repair person, he couldn't get out for a week. Our grass was now calf high. I was panicking so I reached for the phone book and called Wise Auto Repair in hopes that they also worked on mowers. Imagine how high I jumped when they said yes! The work was outstanding. Andrew Wise, the owner, was quick, courteous and efficient. He came to our house and picked up the mower for us, took it to his shop for repairs, and brought it back. The turn-around time was just a couple of days and that included ordering the parts. Additionally, the mower came back to us completely CLEANED! They cleaned all the grass and mud off the mower before they brought it back! We didn't even ask them to do this for us! We now have a new best friend for mower repairs.
Description of Work: Our hydrostatic mower (Tiger Cub) broke a belt. We took it to Wise Auto Care for repairs. We also had them sharpen the blades and do a tune-up. I called them in a panic after the mower died and the rain made the grass grow a foot. Our neighbors were giving us the eye and Andy came right away to rescue our yard.

+ 0 moreWe just moved to the Carroll area, when our car went on the fritz. Luckily, I found Wise Auto Care! Andy was a gem! The AC compressor on our CRV went out on the hottest day of the summer. He got it right in and started the work. Unfortunately, the type of compressor it needed was not available, so Andy searched the internet and found a compressor in New Jersey. Then when that one didn't pan out, he searched again and found a compressor in Nebraska, which he had rushed to his shop, so we could get our car back ASAP. Additionally, Andy replaced three of our four tires and repaired our O2 sensor, that had been bad for months. Andy's shop is a family-run business and all the employees are friendly, helpful and prompt. He called us frequently with updates on our parts and worked quickly. I was extremely happy with all of Andy's work and am glad, that I found a local mechanic that I can trust!!!
Description of Work: Andy replaced our air conditioning compressor, 4 tires and oxygen sensor. We also, had an oil change and tune up.
