Jefferys Chimney

Due to living in a remote area, we had a lot of trouble finding a provider who could perform the needed work. Mr. Jefferys was approximately 100 miles away, but he agreed to travel to our home and do the work.

He arrived exactly on time with a work crew of himself 2 others. His helpers carried in the hearth pad (we had purchased elsewhere) from our garage and put the pad and stove in place. They went about their work quickly and efficiently and were very careful not to make a mess in our home. They put down tarps to collect the debris from cutting the hole in the ceiling and roof, and used a HEPA vacuum to clean up.

The work was completed timely and certainly looks beautiful and professional. The chimney draws very well and we have not had any problems with downdrafting or smoke in the house.

We did have a problem with water leakage the first time it rained. Mr. Jefferys came out the next day and did some work which reduced the leakage with the next storm but did not completely take care of the problem. We let him know and he came out the very next day and took the outside portion of the chimney apart and added more waterproofing material. We had a big storm with heavy rain and wind less than a week later and there was no leakage at all.

We are very satisfied with the work performed, and feel that the return visits to make sure that the job was done right demonstrate a kind of customer service that is rare in the 21st century. I would recommend this business to anyone who needs a chimney installed.
