My experience: The home inspection was done prior to purchase. A few weeks later, after the home sale was completed, I hired a handyman, who happened to also be an area firefighter, to assist with a couple of things I wanted done. He took one look into the electrical panel and stated there was a DANGEROUS problem within the panel: water leakage had caused harmful corrosion. I called my realtor; she and the Siglers of Fulton Inspection Services met me at the home. Mr. Sigler played down any danger factor, assuring me the electrical panel was not a problem. Recently, I was having problems with electrical outlets in my basement. I had an electrician come to my home on June 18, 2020. Of course he inspected the electrical panel while troubleshooting the issue and declared the electrical panel a hazard. I was dumbfounded -- I had believed what Mr. Sigler told me, and my realtor (who recommended Fulton Inspection Services) certainly didn't speak up to suggest I should probably go ahead and have an electrician inspect the panel. The written inspection report stated as a MAJOR DEFICIENCY: "signs of water penetration noted inside the main electric panel box." Also, rotted and foggy windows were noted with the admonition "a qualified contractor must review all windows and repair/replaced (sic), as needed." No such admonition was made regarding the electrical panel, which could cause a fire. Prior to sale the seller should have remedied this issue if I had been sufficiently informed of the danger. I now must absorb the cost of the required repairs so as to ensure I have a safe home in which to live.

The inspector (Brock) arrived early and took his time, going from room to room and pointing out problems or potential problems. He also pointed out the good things and qualities of the house. A written report was received the next morning, as promised. The report was much more detailed than I had seen from other companies in the past. He and his company provided excellent service! They are reliable and affordable!
Response from Fulton Inspectons Services Inc

My home inspection was the best experience I've had with the house to date. John not only provided me with a very detailed report (hand - delivered on a Saturday, as promised), he also told me how to repair the problem areas. The items needing repair are marked on the report, the most urgent items double marked. I get my home inspection report out on the weekends, skim for marks, and make a list for the hardware store! It is good to know that if I have any questions or concerns about the house, I can call Fulton Home Inspections any time, and John will come out and have a look - free of charge.
