He was prompt and very courteous and told us exactly what he would have to do to complete the job as well as the price. We liked him right away and hired him. He even agreed to pick up the door that was being held for us at the home improvement store since we didn't have our own large vehicle.
On the day of installation, he showed up right on time with the new door and began the task of removing the old door and preparing the door frame. Half way through the job he discovered that the new door had a dent even though he examined it before leaving the store. Not his fault as the door damage was slight, but hidden behind some cardboard packing. He insisted that he wanted to return the door for another one saying that he wouldn't want that dented door on his house and he wanted his customer to have a perfect product. We felt bad that he had to drive all the way back to the home center, but he felt it was part of the job.
He gave us some advice and choices about different ways he could finish the door off to make it weatherproof and a good color match to the siding. Once the entire job was complete, it looked wonderful.
He was very friendly and seemed quite knowledgable. His work was very neat and he did a good job of cleaning up the work area, both inside and outside of the garage.
We will definitely keep Jon in mind for any other home improvements.
