Carpet Restorations Plus Inc

First I would not have hired a carpet cleaner to check the furnace and clean the ducts, but the Landlord did looking for what she thought was the cheapest way out to meet my requests. After Ed looked over all the ducts he called the Landlord with the estimate. She had some type of coupon and i could tell by the phone call she didn't like the price quoted and thought it was too much. Ed told me she had told him to do the least (cheapest) possible. He pulled all the vents off and stuck a long vacuum that extended from his truck outside into the vents. He spent alot of time vacuuming the ducts that were in the room we were sitting in, but once he was out of site the job seemed to go quickly. I'll admit the dust in the room we had been sitting in was a lot better, but for only about 1 week, then it was back to the same...very dusty. I don't think he cleaned deep well and once that dirt blew further down the duct work it was back to dusty city. He also did a furnace check, I don't really know what he did. My husband said he didn't seem like he knew much. I know he changed the filter, because he used our filter without asking. I don't know if that is standard or not, it doesn't seem like it should be. It seems like he tried and had good intentions, but it didn't seem like furnace/duct work was his specialty.

I would never recommend this company. I called for a special advertised in a coupon book and scheduled for that basic service - $29.99. The technician came into my home and started rattling off this, that, and the other for a total service charge of $150! I then told him that I wasn't comfortable paying that amount and that all I really wanted was the special that I scheduled. He then couls only get the price down to $75. He supposedly "cleaned" the carpets, but did NOT move the furniture nor did it look any better than it did before I called. I then contacted the company asking for a full or partial refund and they wanted to send the tech back! Unbelievable! I said I just wanted a refund and I was told by the receptionist that she would speak to the owner then get back to me. That was nearly two months ago and I have yet to hear back. Do NOT use this service. Terrible cons! Oh, and the "tech" showed up at my house in an unmarked, old, rusted truck. Completely UNPROFESSIONAL!
