The loan officer that was great to work with on my first house cost me thousands of dollars and coming within a day of losing my second house due to shady business tactics, constant lying, and POOR communication. In July of this year, I contacted American Eagle Mortgage company to start the process of buying my second house. Everything seemed fine until a month before closing. After spending thousands of dollars in preparation, appraisals and more, the loan officer quit responding to phone calls, emails, and more. I called and sent emails for 2 more weeks, then decided to stop up at the office as I was about to lose the purchase of my house due to not meeting the closing date. Then i was contacted by Jan Oprean, ONE DAY before closing and she said "I regret that we are unable to go forward with your loan application. I did call the seller and left a voice message with a request that he contact me directly. I did leave a brief message that did explain that this decision is in no way based on you or your qualifications. Sorry take care" Nearly costing me the purchase of a lifetime, it is a MIRACLE I found a LEGITIMATE mortgage company to continue through with the loan. If I did not know the seller personally, this place would have cost me more than the few thousand I wasted out of pocket. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
