CONTEC CONCRETE INC

Mark of Contec Concrete came to my house and provided an estimate for a driveway and sidewalk. We opted for the sidewalk only. He agreed to do the job at the price he quoted us; about $600+. Up to that point we had a good impression. However, weeks of being ignored has resulted in using a different contractor. I called about 5-6 times to set a date for the job. After the 2nd call he left me a single message to ask if the next day was okay to do the job. I called him mid-day the next day to say it was fine; understandable too late but it?s when I received the message. Thereafter I left approximately 5 more messages. No response for over two weeks. Today a very nice woman picked up the phone and explained they were out of town the past week. That partly explained some of my missed messages. . .but not really. She assured me wholeheartedly he would call back today. He did not call back. The Contec quote was the least expensive of the three I received but it amounted to nothing. Contec Concrete Inc. is very unprofessional. The good news is that we feel like we dodged a bullet. If Contec Concrete Inc. is this unreliable and unprofessional before they start the job I have no doubt the quality of work would have been 3rd rate or there would have been other issues.
