They were everything and more. I worked with Allen Sparks and he couldn't have been more helpful and polite. I checked around several local places and could not beat their prices even with shipping cost to Troy Ohio. I ordered baseboard molding and trim in poplar. Quality was excellent and shipping was extremely fast. I was so happy with my purchase that I called again for replacement interior doors and closet doors. And I'm sure I will be extremely happy with that. Highly recommend

Our builder sent us to Baird where we met our original sales professional who was very professional and good. That's where any kind of customer service ended in a bad way. After our builder had us meet "his guy" at Baird, it was quite evident that he had our builders interest in hand, not ours. Fast forward four years... Our hardwood flooring that we purchased and our builder installed (dining room, kitchen, office, hall) is like walking on a sheet of ice. During the course of the next two years, we had three meetings with the Baird owners, who simply sat and listened to our issue without any ideas to remedy what-so-ever. They did however tell us that they were experimenting with finished and sealants about the time we purchased our flooring (awesome to know). After several LOCAL flooring contractors reviewed our situation for a potential fix (all said they've never seen a more slick floor in their many years), they said that they'd speak with Baird since that's where it originated. Obviously that was the end of hearing from them again - it's Youngstown, Ohio, correct! Bottom Line = Baird Brothers is as over-rated as the typical old lady insisting that her cabinets be built by the Amish, as if no one else is as good.

Can't get better than Baird

I took a little bit of a chance not knowing anything about Baird. The results were excellent and cost less than anything I could get locally. I wanted high quality millwork pre-finished with a light stain and finish and got it. The oak is furniture grade. It was shipped to my home in 3 crates. I'm very happy with the results.

They really did a fantastic job. Their customer service is REALLY good, and I plan on buying my French doors from them.

Fine, quality work- they are hand made doors and their craftsmanship was wonderful. They delivered the  doors from Ohio to Pennsylvania and took them to our cabinet maker so that he could paint them with different colors- they are very easy to work with. They met their deadlines- they had the doors ready when they told us they would. We were happy with them. Our cabinet maker referred us to them; he works with them and has done work with them before so he recommended them- that is how we found him. They were quite expensive but it was worth the money.

I like their selection and the quality of wood is very good. They were very knowledgeable and helpful.

The process was extremely smooth. We got a sq/ft estimate from our contracts, I went online and chose the flooring we wanted, used the online checkout method, and we were on our way! Baird did send a sample of the floor color that we chose (I believe they may charge $1 or something for this), and once I sent an email to approve the color, they processed our order right away.
They sent me an email letting me know when the product would ship to our home (in PA - free truck delivery!) and worked with our contractor to arrange a time and change the date that would fit with the contractors schedule.
We could not be more pleased with the product and the service. Would definitely recommend.

THEY ARE HELPFUL WHETHER IT BE MEASUREMENTS OR WHAT TYPE OF FLOORING WOULD BE BEST.

We ordered this door in late November (yes, we braved the ridiculous lines). We did not get the door until late February! NOT ONCE did they call us to provide the status on the doors--we had to call them every time. Every time, they wanted to know the order number and who had helped us. We didn't want that person to help us again b/c he was quite incompetent having never informed us of anything. Apparently they received one door that was damaged so they had to reorder it. Fine, but maybe you could call and tell us this and give us an approximate date as to when it will arrive? They never even called to say it had arrived, we had to constantly call and be on them to find out the status. We will never use them again. The door quality seems fine, but we would order this elsewhere.

They delivered (over $1,000) for free. They were very careful unloading the floor and getting it into our home. Their cost was over 50% less than some big box stores. I chose a hickory, cherry stained floor. We also bought some beautiful trim from them. It was much more beautiful trim than I had seen other places. Another store was about $11/ft: here it was flooring around $3.25. We got some ash flooring as well for $1.90/ft, which we had seen for about $8 at other places. Sometimes they will have specials too! They have a very wide selection of flooring. The quality is great, and they are very personable.
