This is the WORST pet grooming place you could ever take your dog! I had been going there for about a year and NEVER really satisfied with their services but because they are so close to me I continued to go there until this last STRAW. My pup is ALWAYS there for several hours, they overbook the pups and double them up to a cage. This last time I took my pup, vicki told me they had openings and I could bring him at 8. He was ONLY being completely shaved due to matting and a bath. He was there for EIGHT hours due to the groomer LEAVING to attend to her sick dog. She NEVER notified me and gave me the option of picking my dog up so he wouldn't be there in the cage with another dog for 8 hours. I kept calling because of course I was getting worried. Each time I called vicki got an attitude and tried to explain that the lady who normally grooms my dog is out taking care of her dog and no one else can do him because he is aggressive. THAT is a lie, my pup is only 1 and 12 lbs. he is the most GENTLE, quiet puppy ever and is NOT aggressive. He may not sit there not moving at all but I know he is not an angry dog. After 8 hours they called to have him picked up. When I got there he looked fine so I paid and left. The next day bruising showed up around his butt area and chest area from how she took a razor to him and shaved him WAY too low. He couldn't sit down nor was he himself. He wouldn't play with me, come to me, and was acting totally not himself. So I called back requesting a refund, Vicki cursed me out and hung up. So I reported them to the BBB, it didn't go well because she lied to them saying I was threatening them and a bunch of other made up things. My dog was TRAUMATIZED, after taking him to the vet, they determined he'd be okay but suggested I NEVER take him back there. And I will do that exactly. SPARE your pup from this company. They are HORRIBLE.

I called a few days ago hoping to get an appointment for a Saturday morning. The phone rang busy for about an hour, so I emailed the shop to let them know. I called again and they answered and were happy to offer me several time slots. I chose 9:00. I dropped my dog off at 8:50 and was given a 3-4 hour window for completion. I am moving in 6 days, so I ran some errands to get stuff for the new house and came back to Canal around 12:00 to wait for their call. I got no call. At 1, I called and was told that they had a groomer walk out on them the day before and they were running a bit behind, and that he would be finished in "1-2 hours". That was the first I had heard of them being short a groomer. At 4, I called and was told it would be "closer to 5" before he was finished (note: EIGHT hours later). At 5:14 I get a call, saying "we're technically closed" but that my dog was ready, and that they had tried to call me and left me a voicemail 30 minutes earlier. This is COMPLETELY untrue. The only numbers they have are mine and my daughter's and we were together waiting on the call. When I showed up, the blonde lady was extremely rude (reeking of cigarette smoke) and telling me that she TOLD me they were down a groomer. I said "had I known it would take 8 1/2 hours 6 days before I'm set to move, I would have cancelled". I started enumerating reasons why I was unhappy, and she cut me off and told me to watch my finger (which I was using to count with). I will NEVER take my dog back to this place. The workers are rude, they LIE and they do a mediocre job at grooming in the first place. I always asked for the same cut, but each one looks completely different. BEWARE of this place. The workers only care about the money and being right - not about serving their customers and doing a good job. To make it worse, my dog peed for about 1 minute straight when we went outside and drank a half a bowl of water when we arrived home. I'm guessing he was left in a crate for most of that 8 1/2 hours while they kept all of us in limbo. NEVER AGAIN!

I have a 75 lb Goldendoodle who is perfectly behaved. When I pulled up at 9 am, two groomers were outside having a smoke. At first they refused the cut I wanted because they said the dogs hair was too matted around the collar area and they would have to shave it. I checked and asked for a grooming brush to get the matts out, but was refused. I was offered a de-matting service for $1.00 per minute of de-matting. I refused, took my dog home and had him completely tangle free in about 4 minutes. Then I bathed him and brushed him out again by myself. In spite of my reservations, I took my dog back 3 days later for the cut. Bad decision. Again, two groomers were outside smoking when I pulled up. They expressed amazement that I got all the matts out and when I told them it took me all of four minutes, they told me I was and quot;luckyand quot;. They had my dog EIGHT AND A HALF HOURS!! I called at the 4 hr mark hoping he was done. No--not done. I was called 4.5 hrs later to pick him up. I'd wanted a lion cut, but apparently the groomer didn't really understand the concept and the cut I got was a vague suggestion of what I wanted. He had a and quot;maneand quot; that was too small, they cut the top of his head quite short (why?) and left too much on the tail. They ignored his face completely and it was shaggy and untrimmed, even the hair around the muzzle was long and hanging over his mouth. The part of the body that was supposed to be cut very short, was left too long and was still curling, instead of smooth and sleek. They said my dog was and quot;very well behaved especially for a goldendoodleand quot; and a pleasure to work on. I took my dog home and all he did was eat, drink, pee and poop for the next half hour. Then he went to sleep for hours. He was totally exhausted. They estimated the work to be between $55 and $85 (depending on how much work it was) when I dropped him off. I was charged $80 for a dog I had washed and completely brushed out prior to bringing him. When I asked why so much, they just shrugged and said it was a reasonable fee. OK. Not going back.

I took my retriever in for grooming, primarily because of excessive shedding. I expressed that to the groomer and asked their advice on how they normally would groom a golden. Based on this response, I allowed them to flex their experise and groom her based on their recommendations. She looked and felt beutiful when finished, however they did not take off nearly enough hair and still have the excessive shedding problem.

We bring our dog to Personal Touch Pet Grooming every month. They always do a good job and are very friendly. They're the one place for dogs that I don't actually mind going in to.

We have just recently moved to Ohio from Ingleside TX. So we lost our groomer at Main Street Grooming. A little shout out for them back there. But any how back to the present. Personal touch grooming is an awsome place to take your pet. These ladies are very professional and treat your pet as if it were their own. I dropped off my 2 cocker spaniels for grooming at 9 am and talked to Vicky about what kind of cut we wanted for the dogs. I also voiced my concearn for one of our cockers that sometimes gets stressed at the groomer. When I returned at 1:30 to pick up the Dogs not only did they look awsome my usually stressed out cocker was asleep in the kennel not stressed out a bit. I thanked Vicky and her group of outstanding Ladies for thier work and for treating my cockers as if they were there own. I have to confess there is notenough good things that I can say about Personal Touch Grooming. I will bring all 4 of my cocker spaniels here to be groomed now. Thank you Vicky.

The ladies were very professional and courteous and had my toy poodle ready even before they promised. I am embarassed to say that the dog was a total mess! He had been out playing in the barn and was matted and dirty. When he was brought back to me, he was so clean and trim and smelled incredible! He is normally a nervous little dog, but came back happy and content. They perform all their work in one large room, so you can see everything being done while standing at the front desk. All the dogs seemed happy and well taken care of. I will definitely use their services in the future!

Called Personal Touch Pet Grooming on a Wednesday and they answered right away. They had appointments available on Friday and Saturday and went with the Saturday appointment. The building was really easy to find and I went right in and told them what I wanted done with my dog. I decided to get her shaven down a bit and she looked and smelled great after I picked her up. When I picked her up they also explained all they did and said she did great. I would definitely use them again!

I love the shampoo and conditioner Vicky uses. Tasz doesn't scratch afterwards, and is very soft to the touch, not to mention he smells so-o-o nice when we pick him up. Always take your pet in on a leash for their protection. Vicky has crates in various sizes, and I feel he is safe when in her care.

My mom had recommended Personal Touch to me. I always get really nervous when it comes to going to a groomer for the first time. When I walked in the door and saw that the service was done right out in the open for all to see, I knew it was more than likely to be a positive experience. The groomer was very attentive to my concerns and made sure that she understood my expectations. She made me feel comfortable with the fact that she had plenty of experience working with dogs with problem knees as well. And most importantly, it was obvious that the groomers loved dogs. Daphne looked stunning when she was done.
